Cacao Butter Criollo – Sensual Chocolate
Our raw cacao butter is the pure golden oil of fine Criollo cacao. A truly sensual oil with a smooth texture and a subtle floral-citrus aroma.
Unlike conventional products, our cacao butter is cold-pressed, never heated above 37°C, and so has retained all the goodness of the raw butter. Raw cacao butter contains a variety of antioxidants and is rich in vitamin E. It enriches many dishes with a wonderful chocolate flavour and is excellent for skin care.
Our premium cacao is grown by small farmers in the Amazon rainforest under semi-wild conditions.
Why we love Cacao Butter
The cacao bean is an amazing food given to us by Mother Nature. The Aztecs considered cacao as a gift of God and used it not only as an offering, but also as a means of payment. It is estimated that raw cacao contains approx. 300 substances and it is considered as one the foods richest in antioxidants.
Raw cacao butter has a lovely, delicate chocolate aroma which enriches many dishes and melts in any kind of recipe at about 35°C.
As cacao butter contains many antioxidants and skin-protecting substances it is a natural fountain of youth for your skin. As the butter melts from body heat, just slide a piece over your skin and massage it in. You do not need anything else, cacao butter nourishes, absorbs well and gives dry skin a long-lasting, silky sensation. And it has a sensual, aphrodisiac fragrance.
Unfortunately, cacao butter in most conventional cosmetics cannot unfold its nourishing effects. The reason is the small portion of the butter in cosmetics which is usually processed at high temperature. Many skin care products also contain chemical excipients.

Cacao butter is the solid form of pure oil from the cacao bean. Our cacao butter is made from Criollo cacao from Peru, which is one of the best and rarest varieties in the world. No pesticides or synthetic fertilizers are being used. Fine cacao has a share of only 5-10% of the world's cacao production. Fine cacao grows under similar and often nearly same conditions as in nature, since cacao trees do not like full sun and thrive best close to high rainforest trees. On the contrary the commercial Forastero cacao is typically cultivated in monoculture plantations.
Unlike many, even expensive cosmetic products containing cacao butter, our raw cacao butter is processed without the use of any chemicals, nor are any synthetic substances added to the butter. This is why it can fully unfold its nourishing effects for the natural beauty of your skin.
