Organic goji berries from Uzbekistan
Update from November 1st, 2022: Unfortunately, we cannot offer any goji berries from Uzbekistan until further notice. Exports from Uzbekistan are currently not possible because the goji berries are insignificant in Uzbekistan in terms of volume and are not included in the current export list for agricultural products. Our long-term supplier is working on a solution/change, but this will take a long time due to the political, bureaucratic situation in Uzbekistan. As an alternative, we recommend the goji berries from China.
The delicious bright red goji berries (Lycium) are one of the most nutritious fruits on this planet. They are a source of complete protein with 18 amino acids, contain up to 21 trace elements, B vitamins, polysaccharides and much more. Gojis have more vitamin C than oranges, more beta-carotene than carrots, and more iron than a steak! For thousands of years the goji berry has enriched the diet of the inhabitants of the regions of origin and gives them energy. Goji berries support a happy and active life. That is why they are also called lucky berries in their homeland.
Why we love goji berries
We love goji berries because they are a real superfood - one of the most nutritious and antioxidant-rich foods out there! The goji berry is not only a true super fruit, it also tastes delicious - mildly spicy, slightly sweet and sour. Goji berries give us energy and are very easy to consume in many ways.
SamaraNatura organic goji berries from Uzbekistan
Our organic goji berries come from Uzbekistan. On the remote mountain slopes of the idyllic Pamir Mountains, the "roof of the world", the goji berries ripen far away from civilization. The area is largely certified organic and is only cultivated by the farmers who live there at harvest time. The farmers in this region have been working according to organic cultivation criteria for many years and are proud of their contribution to the preservation of nature. When ripe, the goji berries are picked, then washed and, last but not least, gently dried with the help of the sun. The drying process used is a very environmentally friendly solar drying method that is extremely gentle on the product and preserves the ingredients in the best possible way. Our supplier checks the quality and purity several times. Only the best berries are offered for sale. They are pressure treated and laser cleaned as standard. With pressure removal, the interaction of pressure and time ensures absolute freedom from pests. During the subsequent multiple cleaning in the laser cleaning system, the organic berries are checked individually to rule out any foreign contamination.
How to use goji berries
Recommended amount: around 10-30 grams per day. The locals who grow the berries eat a handful every day. Note: A common misconception about superfoods and herbs is that there is a standard dosage. We believe that the right amount for a person depends on their size, sensitivity, age, gender and other factors that make them unique.
