Maca Max red – easier to digest and absorb
Maca Max red is made from red maca roots from the Junin region of Peru. Short, strong heating breaks down the starch contained in maca, making it easier to digest than raw maca powder. In addition, the nutrients and vital substances contained can be better absorbed.
This heating process is also referred to as "gelatinization", which is why the English term "gelatinized" is sometimes read. However, this process has nothing at all to do with bone gelatin. Maca Max red is 100% vegan. Anyone who reacts with flatulence to maca powder in raw food quality can use Maca Max red as an alternative.
A staple food of the indigenous peoples of the Andes for thousands of years, maca root is an excellent source of energy and endurance.
Different types of Maca
In addition to the red Maca Max described here, our range currently also includes the yellow and black Maca Max. All 3 colors are also available in raw food quality.
For legal reasons (Swiss Food Ordinance), as a food retailer, we are not allowed to make any statements about any effects. Do your own research on Maca on the internet. Among other things, we find the Macapulver.org website very informative. The different types are also described there.
Why we love maca
Maca increases our energy levels. Maca makes us feel energetic, grounded and happy.
Maca also has a pleasant, malty taste and can be used in many different ways.
Samara Natura Maca Max red
Our red maca powder is made from dried, red organic maca roots. This comes from altitudes of over 4000 meters above sea level in the Junín region of Peru.
How to use
Maca has a unique taste and can be added to many different foods. Some people find the taste of maca powder somewhat reminiscent of caramel with a peppy twist. Maca powder can be stirred into rice, nut or hemp milk, for example, or simply mixed into muesli. Mix maca powder with water, milk of your choice or add to juice, smoothie, muesli or raw desserts. Maca is also a good thickener for soups, making it a tasty addition. We especially like maca with oatmeal and as an ingredient in our raw chocolate recipes.
It is advisable to start with a small amount of ½ tsp per day and increase up to 1-4 tbsp per day.
Tip Macuccino: Mix Maca Max with (nut) milk, cinnamon and agave syrup. Heat slightly in the milk frother and enjoy as a stimulating drink.
