Spiced cocoa powder organic

Product information "Spiced cocoa powder organic"

Organic spiced cocoa - produced in Switzerland

As it was no longer worth importing Mayan spiced cocoa (due to the massive increase in transport costs), we had our own spiced cocoa produced in Switzerland. The combination of high-quality cocoa and slightly hot spices make this cocoa powder a great experience.

The new spiced cocoa has a more intense cocoa flavour than the old one and is slightly more bitter, slightly spicier, more chocolaty, less sweet and has no cinnamon flavour. The brown colour of the new spiced cocoa is slightly lighter.

What is spiced cocoa?

Our organic spiced cocoa is a coarse-grained chocolate powder consisting of cocoa mass and our Criollo cocoa powder. It is sweetened with raw cane sugar and flavoured with a slightly spicy blend of spices.

Local and social production

The spiced cocoa is produced by the chocolatiers of the Ancora-Meilestei Foundation in Wetzikon using a special process to achieve the desired consistency.

Ingredients

Cocoa mass 40%, raw cane sugar 30%, cocoa powder 25%, spice mix 5% (cocoa shells, sweet paprika, cane sugar, chilli, cinnamon, bourbon vanilla, tonka beans). All ingredients are certified organic.

Preparation

Mix the spiced cocoa into lukewarm plant-based drinks, smoothies, protein shakes and muesli. It also goes well melted as a dessert topping. If you like coconut flavour, then coconut milk with spiced cocoa will taste wonderful.

Tip: To ensure that the spiced cocoa emulsifies (combines) well in cold drinks, use a whisk or milk frother wand. This will also produce a nice foam.

For an intense cocoa flavour, mix 5 teaspoons (approx. 15g) with 1 cup of hot water or plant-based drink.

If you want to use the cocoa for a ceremony, use 40-50g per 2-3dl of water or plant drink. Many people experience euphoric feelings with this amount. This concentrated form was already used by Mayan shamans thousands of years ago as a "drink of the gods".

Cacao powder Peru organic
Weight : 250g
Cacao powder Peru - Low in fat with 10-12% cocoa butter content (100% natural) Update: Due to the cocoa shortage, our supplier was unable to send us 100% Criollo powder. The new batch contains 70% Criollo cocoa (previously 100%). The remaining 30% is Forastero, Trinitario and Nacional. They are also high quality, organically certified and from Peru. That is why our cocoa powder is temporarily called "Cocoa Powder Peru". Our raw cocoa powder originates from the precious cocoa sauce Criollo and has a delicious, full chocolate taste. It is made from unroasted cocoa beans and contains up to twice as much antioxidants as conventional cocoa powder. The gentle processing at low temperatures preserves vitamins, minerals, enzymes and antioxidants which can be absorbed so optimally by the body. Cocoa has all the benefits of chocolate, but without the undesirably high sugar content and the additives of commercial chocolate. Raw cocoa has an abundance of antioxidants and the combination of serotonin, dopamine, anandamide and phenetylamine (PEA) illuminates our mood and creates feelings of wellbeing and joy in us. Cocoa is also rich in magnesium. Our cocoa is grown by small farmers in the Amazon rainforest under semi-natural conditions. Why we love Cocoa powder The cocoa bean is an impressive food given to us by Mother Nature. It was regarded by the Aztecs as a gift of God and was used not only as a sacrifice, but also as a means of payment. It has been found that raw cocoa contains about 300 substances and is one of the foods with the highest content of antioxidants! Cocoa can therefore help to protect our cells from free radicals and highly reactive oxygen compounds. They are important to maintain and function the cell. Cocoa has the highest magnesium content of all foods. Magnesium is a component of bones and teeth, plays an important role in energy metabolism and is essential for a normal muscle function and for energy metabolism. Magnesium also plays a role in the skeletal structure and is important in the transmission of stimuli in the nervous system during muscle contraction. Cocoa beans contain a combination of substances that trigger feelings of wellbeing and joy in us. SamaraNatura organic Cocoa powder Criollo Our cocoa powder is made from the Peruvian precious cocoa variety Criollo, one of the world's rarest and best cocoa varieties, and comes from a cooperative in Peru, which dispenses with the use of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers and supplies the largest raw materials stores in the United States and Great Britain. To prepare the powder, the uncooked noble cocoa beans are first ground. The dark-brown viscous cocoa mass produced in this way is compressed by cold pressing to form a cake from which the liquid golden yellow cocoa butter slowly drains. The remaining "cocoa press cake" is subsequently finely ground and sieved through. This process does not require any chemicals, additives or extraction solvents and produces a fine, soft powder with a full, wonderful chocolate flavor. The quality of our organic, fair trade certified Criollo cocoa is of great purity and free from mycotoxins, mold and yeast, and prevents you from experiencing this nervous tension that is associated with the consumption of caffeine-containing foods and drinks. Use Mix cocoa powder to your muesli, smoothies, (hot) milk drinks, protein drinks and teas. As an ingredient for all delicious chocolate creations and desserts. Cacao paste Criollo Chips Organic
Weight : 250g
Organic Criollo Cacao mass (paste) in practical chips form (100% natural) Because they are always the same size, cacao mass chips (also called cocoa paste or cocoa liquor) are much easier to use/dosage than the broken pieces previously offered and are also suitable, among other things, as a sugar-free chocolate substitute. What makes our cacao mass special? Criollo fine flavor cacao from Peru, which is one of the rarest and best varieties in the world Grown under semi-wild conditions and obtained by finely grinding the beans (raw food quality) Cultivated without the use of pesticides or synthetic fertilizers Very gentle processing that preserves vitamins, minerals, enzymes and countless other substances - for optimal absorption by the body Contains a wealth of antioxidants and the combination of serotonin, dopamine, anandamide and phenetylamine (PEA) has a mood-enhancing effect Rich in magnesium Fine flavor cacao variety Gran Cru Criollo Fine flavor cacao varieties only account for 5-10% of global cacao production. They grow under similar, often almost natural, conditions as they do not tolerate direct sun and thrive alongside other tall rainforest trees. The industrial cacao Forastero, on the other hand, is usually grown in monoculture plantations. As the name already suggests, fine flavor cacao tastes better, finer and less bitter than consumer cacao because, like cacao nibs, it still contains the entire proportion of cacao butter (approx. 55%). Criollo cacao beans are slightly fermented and thus develop their typical cocoa aroma. Why consume cacao? The cacao bean is an amazing food given to us by Mother Nature. It was considered a gift from God by the Aztecs and used not only as an offering but also as a means of payment. It has been determined that raw cacao contains around 300 substances and is one of the foods with the highest antioxidant content! Cacao can therefore make a significant contribution to protecting our cells from free radicals and premature aging. Cacao has the highest magnesium content of any food. Magnesium is important for the heart, brain, to calm and relax nerves and muscles, and to build bones and cartilage. Together with other active ingredients, cacao is an ideal brain food and promotes mental alertness and concentration. Cacao beans contain a combination of substances that have a positive effect on our mood and induce feelings of well-being and joy. And cacao has a lot of sulphur, which is important for strong nails, healthy hair and beautiful, soft skin. What is cacao mass (paste) used for? The cacao mass can be used excellently in all chocolate recipes. Mix cacao paste in smoothies or with ice cream, fruit salad, muesli and desserts. Ceylon Cinnamon powder Organic
Weight : 250g
Organic Ceylon Cinnamon Powder (100% natural) - Premiumquality that you taste  This first-class cinnamon powder from Sri Lanka, the original home of the cinnamon tree, is fine and pure, with a particularly intensive fragrance and taste from genuine Ceylon cinnamon. It is, without a doubt, the tastiest and freshest cinnamon powder we have ever tried. Genuine cinnamon has been used by man since at least 3000 BC and has been growing naturally in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India and Burma. Ceylon cinnamon was introduced to the European market by the Portuguese navigator Vasco da Gama in 1502, which he brought from Sri Lanka (Ceylon). Nowadays it is more common to find in the market the Cassia cinnamon variety, which comes from China, rather than the more aromatic genuine cinnamon. The aroma of the cinnamon tree comes primarily from cinnamon oil as well as further aromas such as eugenol, which also occurs in cloves, and coumarin. The genuine cinnamon is not only used for seasoning, but also has a long traditional use as medicine that is now scientifically documented (*1). For example, it is now known that cinnamon stimulates the appetite, promotes digestion and is also useful for bacterial and fungal infections, inflammation and for the regulation of the blood sugar. Cinnamon contains a very high antioxidant capacity of 131'420 μmol TE / 100g (ORAC value = Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity). It is with regret that we are unable to share with you more information about this product. Various Swiss legislation prevents us (and all other food business operators) from claiming that these products can offer any possible health benefits. We recommend you do your own research on the Internet about this product, - this is an example of a useful website Zentrum der Gesundheit  (german). Why we love organic ceylon cinnamon powder We are in love with this cinnamon powder - the unique and particularly aromatic cinnamon fragrance and taste, bring the warm childhood memories of the heavenly cinnamon sugar. Coconut sugar with cinnamon surpasses even the taste experience and is also a healthy alternative to white sugar! Apple sauce with cinnamon is another childhood classic. Recently we have been using cinnamon more regularly, espeically in our evening turmeric drink (Facebook/Blog-Link) as well as in chocolate drinks, and curry dishes and teas. The healing properties of cinnamon are a very welcome "side effect”.   Pearls of Samarkand Cinnamon Powder The harvesting and drying process of the cinnamon is done very quickly, creating the optimal conditions to achieve the particularly intense and fresh fragrance and taste of this 100% pure Ceylon cinnamon. Our cinnamon comes from organic farming, from two local fair trade organizations with 2,500 participating farmers. Thanks to the collaboration with Fairtrade, the farmers have their livelihood secured and earn their independence. Carob powder organic
Carob powder - from the pods of the carob tree Carob is a legume that grows on the carob tree, a wild, evergreen tree native to the Mediterranean, and has been used as a sweetener and nutritious natural snack for thousands of years. Carob was well known to the ancient Greeks, who spread the seeds of this plant in Greece and Italy. Why consume carob powder? People who don't know much about carob think it's a healthy version of (high-sugar, high-fat) chocolate, but it's so much more. We like to mix carob with raw cocoa for a sweet and healthy treat, because cocoa has a lot of magnesium and compared to cocoa, carob contains three times as much calcium, a third less calories and only 1% fat. Carob is naturally sweet and fewer sweeteners are needed when it is used in recipes. It has a low glycaemic index, is low in fat and exceptionally nutritious, rich in calcium, protein and fibre. What makes our carob powder special? Our organic carob powder from Spain is gently heated and ground for drying in order to preserve its flavour, colour and nutrients. Due to the drying process at well over 42° C, it is no longer raw food. Due to the different requirements, we offer carob powder in 2 different sizes: 250g and 500g. These can be selected at the top right under "Weight variants". Using carob in everyday life and for great recipes Use carob powder to sweeten dishes, in desserts, smoothies, sprinkled on your muesli, as an ingredient in raw chocolate and cakes as well as in quick and nutritious snacks.
