Bolivia Wild 100% Cacao Dates Bean-to-Bar Chocolate by Naturkostbar Intense and long-lasting, yet surprisingly mild and creamy smooth. Packaging is 100% plastic-free – made from sustainable cellulose sourced from PEFC-certified forests. This handcrafted bean-to-bar chocolate is produced by Naturkostbar in Uetendorf near Thun. To make it, wild organic cocoa beans are gently stone-ground. Through this slow and gentle process, the Naturkostbar chocolatiers draw out the wonderful aroma from the cocoa beans whilst preserving many nutrients and vital substances. The mixture is poured into the chocolate moulds 100% pure (without any additives). Cocoa content 100%. Variety & Origin The fine Criollo cocoa beans from the humid tropical region of San Martín, Peru. A local cooperative cultivates this fine cocoa along the Huallaga River. This cooperative operates according to ethical principles and prioritises biodiversity to protect the environment. The ripe beans are gently harvested, fermented in stages and dried away from direct sunlight. This allows the unique flavours of these Criollo cocoa beans to develop.
