Why consume ginger powder?

It is also considered helpful for inflammation, rheumatism and colds. Ginger contains a very high antioxidant capacity of 39,041 µmol TE/100g (ORAC value = Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacit).

Since we as a retailer are only allowed to make a few specific statements about the health effects of foods, we recommend that you research information about this product yourself on the Internet.

What makes our ginger powder special?

The aroma and flavour of this 100% pure ginger powder from Sri Lanka are particularly fresh and spicy, which is achieved through rapid cleaning, drying and grinding.

Where does our Fairtrade ginger powder come from?

The ginger comes from organic cultivation and fair trade from two local Fairtrade organisations with 2500 participating farmers. Organic cultivation and fair trade relations have a very decisive influence on the quality of the product. Many work steps are carried out traditionally and exclusively by hand.

Thanks to the co-operation with Fairtrade, the farmers can earn a secure and independent living. The Fairtrade premium can be used to pay for projects such as clean drinking water, school materials for the children and educational projects.

Use of ginger powder in everyday life

We use it daily in practically all our cooking recipes (curries, soups etc.) as well as in drinks, spiced teas and smoothies.

For sore throats and colds or nausea and digestive problems, we have discovered a simple and helpful home remedy that is also super delicious: ½ teaspoon of ginger powder, 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 litre of hot water and a squeeze of lemon juice.

Camu Camu powder organic
Camu Camu (100% natural) powder with 15% vitamin C content Why consume camu camu powder? Camu Camu contains 2-3g of vitamin C per 100g of fresh fruit and around 10-12g per 100g of dried powder. This may not seem like much compared to synthetic vitamin C supplements, but the vitamin C in camu camu is a naturally occurring, highly bioavailable form and works synergistically in the body to maximise its benefits The camu camu fruit has the highest documented natural vitamin C content of any food on earth Compared to oranges, Camu Camu provides 30-60 times more vitamin C, 10 times more iron, 3 times more niacin, twice as much riboflavin and 50% more phosphorus! We have found that Camu Camu energises, builds and improves mood. It helps us to stay active and in a good mood throughout the day. A pretty amazing effect for such a small berry We all know about the high health value of vitamin C, and since camu camu exists, we can completely do without artificial, synthetic forms. For people like us, who are always on the lookout for what nature has to offer, this is a blessing The berry is 100% natural and a powerful, highly concentrated food Due to its natural origin and in combination with other vitamins, minerals, bioflavonoids and amino acids, the vitamin C contained in camu camu is fully absorbed by the body, which is not the case with synthetic vitamin C What makes our camu camu powder special? SamaraNatura Camu Camu grows wild in the Peruvian Amazon. The berries are harvested directly in boats equipped with freezing systems. The boats travel along the waterways of the Amazon, where the fruit is picked and shock-frozen when fully ripe. The fruit is then thawed, peeled, liquefied and spray-dried in a processing plant The resulting powder is pale pink to yellow-brown in colour and contains powerful ingredients. We receive our camu camu in the form of a pure, unadulterated powder with an orange-light brown colour It takes around 15kg of berries to produce 1kg of powder, which contains 10-12 per cent vitamin C by weight. Therefore, you only need a small amount to get an effective dose of antioxidants Camu camu powder: frequently varying vitamin C content We would like to point out that the vitamin C content of camu camu powder varies greatly. For example, there are also camu camu powders with only 5-6% vitamin C. When making a comparison, pay attention to the vitamin C content, as the lower the content, the cheaper the product should be. Influence on sustainable development of the Amazon basin We also like the fact that the growing popularity of camu camu contributes to the sustainable development of the Amazon basin and helps the locals to maintain their traditional lifestyle. How to use camu camu powder? Like other superfoods, camu camu is very easy to use. Simply mix the powder into your morning smoothie or an afternoon pick-me-up drink. Camu camu has quite an acidic flavour, although it does not have an acidifying effect on the body and is gentler on the stomach than synthetic ascorbic acid. It therefore tastes best when mixed with other ingredients. Add about a quarter to half a teaspoon (2-3g) to juices, smoothies, ice creams, raw desserts or simply in your drinking water. It's a great way to balance the sweetness of fruit smoothies and desserts. Tip: Camunade is a refreshing drink that gives you a good vitamin C boost. Simply sprinkle a teaspoon of Camu Camu into a glass of cold water (sparkling or still), add a squeeze of lime juice and a little sweetener (e.g. agave or yacon syrup) and shake briefly. You can increase the daily amount if necessary (spread the intake throughout the day), but diarrhoea symptoms indicate an excessive intake of camu camu. Acai Powder Organic
Açai powder (100% natural): Pure energy from the Amazon Why consume açai powder? The nutrients contained in açai are a wonderful mixture of antioxidants, omega-3, -6 and -9 fatty acids, vitamins and proteins. Açai is also very popular with athletes because the berry contains 19 amino acids that stimulate muscle activity, provide strength and long-lasting energy. A diet rich in antioxidants helps to slow down the ageing process. In Brazil, açai has been a popular fruit for many years, used as a fruit puree, in drinks, ice creams and smoothies. The natives of the rainforest have been consuming açai for thousands of years. What makes our açai powder special? Our açai powder from Brazil is 100% natural, without fillers or chemicals. Due to the high fat content of the berries, long transport routes are impossible without a process to increase the shelf life of the fruit. This is why the berries are freeze-dried shortly after harvesting and then gently ground into a fine powder at a low temperature. The ingredients are thus preserved as far as possible. Many of the açai powders available on the market are not pure, i.e. they are mixed with fillers that reduce their nutritional value. The stronger the violet colour of the powder, the more concentrated and pure it is. The colour is therefore a good indicator of the quality of the product. Our açai powder is made from 100% açai berries, without fillers and has a dark purple colour. What does our açai powder taste like? Açai powder tastes delicious: a delicious, unusual flavour! The excellent combination of omega fatty acids and the sustained energy it provides makes açai powder indispensable for us. Where is açai powder made? Açai is a berry with a beautiful intense purple colour that grows in the Brazilian rainforest on tall palm trees along the Amazon. A true gift from Mother Nature! The dark purple colour comes from special pigments called anthocyanins, which are powerful antioxidants. Tips for use This miracle berry can be wonderfully integrated into your daily diet. Açai powder goes well with desserts, many drinks, smoothies, yoghurt and sprinkled on muesli. It tastes great in homemade chocolate and ice cream. Baobab powder organic
The African superfruit (100% natural) Why baobab powder? Baobab has a slightly citrusy, fruity and refreshing flavour and is rich in vitamin C and the minerals calcium, potassium, iron and magnesium. Due to its favourable calcium-phosphorus ratio in combination with vitamin C, the bioavailability of calcium and iron is particularly good. Baobab is ideal for vegans as it contains a lot of calcium - twice as much as milk. Effect of baobab powder? The baobab fruit contains approx. 50% fibre - half of which is particularly valuable soluble fibre - and therefore supports intestinal functions and regular digestion. Baobab also contains numerous phytonutrients, which are powerful antioxidants that help to protect cells and blood vessels from free radicals. What makes our baobab powder special? Our baobab powder is 100% pure, raw and chemical-free. The fruit pod contains the seeds and the naturally dried pulp. The natural fruit powder is separated from the seeds and fibres using a mechanical process. Origin of our babobab powder This superfruit originates from Africa. Its distribution in the western world helps African communities to reduce poverty and preserve nature at the same time. So baobab is good for us, good for Africans and good for the environment. The African baobab tree (Adansonia digitata) or baobab tree (from the Arabic bu-hubub) is a characteristic part of the African savannah. It is also jokingly referred to as the "upside-down tree", as it looks as if its roots are sticking up into the sky like a ghostly silhouette. Africans have long valued this tree and its fruit and have given it various names such as the tree of life and the magic tree. Its thick trunk can store up to 300 litres of water, allowing the tree to survive long periods of drought. The nutritious fruit powder forms naturally in the ripe fruit pod, which also contains the seeds. Tips for everyday use We like the flavour and use it pure with water and a little sweetener - a real treat. It is a wonderful ingredient for all cocoa and dessert creations, giving them a delicious, slightly sweet and sour flavour. Due to its high pectin content (approx. 25%), baobab powder is particularly suitable for recipes where binding or thickening properties are required. Baobab is also a natural flavour enhancer and adds a special touch to any dish, whether sweet or savoury. Baobab also goes well with muesli, in yoghurt, nut milk and as an ingredient in baked goods and desserts (with cocoa). If you like it sweeter, simply add a teaspoon of agave syrup. Recipe with baobab powder Try a refreshing vitality drink: mix 1 to 2 teaspoons of baobab powder with water and lemon or add it to juice or your favourite smoothie. Ceylon Cinnamon powder Organic
Organic Ceylon cinnamon powder (100% natural) - premium quality you can taste This premium cinnamon powder from Sri Lanka, the original home of the cinnamon tree, is a fine and pure, particularly intensely flavoured cinnamon powder made from real Ceylon cinnamon! It is without doubt the tastiest and freshest cinnamon powder we have ever tasted. True cinnamon has been used by humans since at least 3000 BC and grows naturally in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India and Burma. Ceylon cinnamon came to Europe with the Portuguese navigator Vasco da Gama in 1502, which he brought back from Sri Lanka (Ceylon). Nowadays, it is more common to find the cassia cinnamon variety on the market, which comes from China, rather than the more aromatic true cinnamon. The flavour of the cinnamon tree comes primarily from the cinnamon oil and other aromatic substances such as eugenol, which is also found in cloves. True cinnamon is not only used for flavouring, but also has other interesting applications (*1). Among other things, cinnamon is known to stimulate the appetite and aid digestion. It is also considered helpful for bacterial and fungal infections, inflammation and for lowering blood sugar. Cinnamon contains a very high antioxidant capacity of 131,420 µmol TE/100g (ORAC value = Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacit). Since we as a retailer are only allowed to make a few specific statements about the health effects of foods, we recommend that you research information about this product yourself on the Internet, e.g. at Zentrum der Gesundheit. Why we love organic Ceylon cinnamon powder We love this premium cinnamon powder because of its truly unique and particularly aromatic cinnamon scent and flavour, which is not only associated with childhood memories of heavenly cinnamon sugar. Coconut sugar with cinnamon even surpasses the flavour experience and is also a healthy alternative to white sugar! Applesauce with cinnamon is another classic. Recently, we have also been using cinnamon more and more in our evening turmeric drink (Facebook/blog link) and in chocolate drinks, as well as in curry dishes and teas. The beneficial properties of cinnamon are a very welcome "side effect". SamaraNatura Cinnamon The aroma and flavour of this 100% pure Ceylon cinnamon are particularly intense and fresh, which is achieved through rapid processing and optimal conditions! Vanilla powder Bourbon organic Naturkostbar
Real Bourbon vanilla powder from Madagascar Vanilla is the fruit of a white orchid species that is originally native to Mexico and has spread to many tropical countries over time. Vanilla is now one of the most sought-after spices and is also known as the "queen of spices". The cultivation and processing of vanilla has always been labour-intensive, as much of the work has to be done by hand. In addition, the available areas are limited and demand is constantly increasing. As a result, vanilla is now one of the most expensive spices in the world. Genuine bourbon vanilla powder from Madagascar has unfortunately become a rarity due to severe flooding in Madagascar in 2016 and 2017, which resulted in major crop failures and long-term damage to crops. You can find more information on this in the NZZ online article. While the much cheaper synthetically produced vanillin consists of just one substance, the special flavour of real vanilla is a harmonious composition of almost 200 individual substances! Real vanilla therefore not only has a unique flavour and seductive aroma, it is also healthy. It has been regarded and cultivated by the peoples of Central America for centuries as a remarkable gift of nature, and the pharmacies of the 18th century stocked it as a health remedy in the form of powder, infusion and tincture. Uses With its unique spectrum of flavours, it can be used in a variety of ways for all sweet dishes, such as dessert sauces, ice cream, smoothies, pastries, compotes, jams, homemade chocolate and fruit bars. Also delicious in drinks such as cocoa, nut milk and herbal teas. Origin Grown and processed in Madagascar. Dragon fruit powder (pitaya) red | sun-dried (100% natural) Update 20.11.2024: Due to non-compliance with organic form regulations (timely export notification from the manufacturer's organic agency to our organic certification body), we cannot sell the new batch of sun/air-dried dragon fruit powder as organic, although it was sold to us as an organic product, from the same producer in Nicaragua and in the same quality.
