Goji Berries Organic

Product information "Goji Berries Organic "

Goji berries - the super berries

For thousands of years, goji berries have enriched the diet of the inhabitants of the Himalayan regions and energised them. Goji berries support a happy and active life, which is why goji berries are also called lucky berries in China.

Why eat goji berries?

The delicious bright red goji berries (Lycium) are one of the most nutritious fruits on the planet. The goji berry is not only a true superfruit, but it also tastes delicious and can be consumed very easily and in many ways.
They are a source of complete protein with 18 amino acids, contain up to 21 trace elements, B vitamins, polysaccharides and much more. Gojis have more vitamin C than oranges, more beta-carotene than carrots and more iron than a steak!

What makes our goji berries special?

Our goji berries are grown in the fertile valleys of Ningxia Province in China without the use of pesticides and agrochemicals. There, on their native soil, the berries ripen on the bush, are harvested in the summer months and dried at low temperatures to preserve as many nutrients as possible.

The berries are dried to a water content of 10-14% for a soft texture and can be rehydrated by simply soaking if required. Our pure goji berries are raw food quality, vegan and organically grown.

How to use goji berries?

Goji berries have a mildly spicy flavour that is slightly sweet and sour. They are similar in shape and texture to sultanas and like sultanas, goji berries can be eaten on their own or used as an ingredient in muesli, mixtures of nuts and other dried fruits, whole fruits and desserts.

You can also add the berries to tea, juice, smoothie or soup, or make your own goji juice by soaking the berries in water. You can be creative with this delicious superfood and let your imagination run wild.

Recommended amount: about 10-30 grams per day. The locals who grow the berries eat a handful every day. Dried goji berries can be kept for well over a year if stored correctly.

Note: A common misconception about superfoods and herbs is that there is a standard dosage. We believe that the right amount for an individual depends on their size, sensitivity, age, gender and other factors that make them unique.

Organic Chia Seeds
Organic Chia Seeds – Little Power Seeds The chia seed is an ancient superfood that has been used by the Mayans, Aztecs and Incas as early as 3500BC. It comes from the desert plant salvia hispanica and it grows in southern Mexico. Chia means "strength" in the language of the Mayans and was used as a “running food” because messengers could run all day with the help of these tiny seeds. Chia seeds were considered medicine and were actually prized more than gold due to their incredible health enhancing properties. Athletes from around the world now include chia in their nutritional regimens during training. Chia is rich in valuable protein, calcium and especially omega-3 fatty acids. It contains a very balanced ratio of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which is  rare in foods. Chia seeds contains potent antioxidants, which not only help you to fight disease and defy age naturally, it also keeps the seeds from going off like other seeds such as flax. Chia can help with weight loss as it makes you feel full longer because the seeds absorb about ten times its weight in water and form a gel. Why we love Chia Seeds Chia seeds are a relatively new addition to our diets. We love them because they are so practical to use and without you noticing it, your body will have that extra dose of nutrition and will be able to assimilate foods much better, at the same time having an extra dose of energy and well being added to your mind and soul! We have been experimenting with these seeds and the result is that we feel uplifted and cheerful, a little bit like cacao does, but without the intensity too much cacao can give you at times. If you are of an athletic type, you will notice the difference in your performance and endurance straight away – it is really something extraordinary. Last but not least: Chia is a very economical, concentrated food. 1/3 cup of dry chia seeds makes about 500g of chia gel. Depending on how much gel you use, those 500g will likely last, on average, about four days. You do not need more than 1-2 tablespoons of Chia gel a day. SamaraNatura Chia Seeds Our chia seeds are heirloom quality and grown without use of pesticides and agrochemicals. There is no heat being used in the processing of our Chia seeds. They go through a shaking procedure to clean them, that’s all! Please note: We are selling chia seeds conform Novel Food Reg. for uses in bread products with max. 5 %. Use The most common way to eat Chia is to first soak the seeds. They can very rapidly absorb a large amount of liquid, between 9-12 times their volume, in under 10 minutes. The Basic Gel To make a basic Chia gel, simply add 1/3 cup of seeds to 2 cups of water. Stir the mixture well to avoid clumping, then leave it in your fridge in a sealed jar. This will yield around 500g of Chia gel and you can begin to eat the gel if you like as just 10 minutes is enough time for the gel to be formed. More of the nutrients will be easily accessible after a few hours however, so many people like to make up a batch like this and leave it in the fridge. It will stay good for some days and you can just reach into the fridge and take out some of the ready-made gel whenever you need. You might add it to smoothies, mix it with salad dressings, make puddings and mueslis, or simply take it by the spoonful. Whole Seeds You can also sprinkle the dry seeds onto salads or add them to muesli mixes. You may also want to experiment with grinding them first in a coffee grinder, to make a chia flour you can then add to smoothies, soups, breads and so on. Chia sprouts are used in a similar manner as alfalfa sprouts in salads, sandwiches and other dishes. Because chia seeds absorb lots of water, they can soak up the water from your body and cause you to dehydrate. Prevent this by drinking lots of water. Or, even better, take the seeds already hydrated so they will not absorb your own body fluids to hydrate. Serving Size Based on the Food and Utility Regulation LGV - Novel Food is the maximum consumption for chia seeds 15g per day. This quantity must not be exceeded. Cacao paste Criollo Chips Organic
Organic Criollo Cacao mass (paste) in practical chips form Because they are always the same size, cacao mass chips (also called cocoa paste or cocoa liquor) are much easier to use/dosage than the broken pieces previously offered and are also suitable, among other things, as a sugar-free chocolate substitute. What makes our cacao mass special? Criollo fine flavor cacao from Peru, which is one of the rarest and best varieties in the world Grown under semi-wild conditions and obtained by finely grinding the beans (raw food quality) Cultivated without the use of pesticides or synthetic fertilizers Very gentle processing that preserves vitamins, minerals, enzymes and countless other substances - for optimal absorption by the body Contains a wealth of antioxidants and the combination of serotonin, dopamine, anandamide and phenetylamine (PEA) has a mood-enhancing effect Rich in magnesium Fine flavor cacao variety Gran Cru Criollo Fine flavor cacao varieties only account for 5-10% of global cacao production. They grow under similar, often almost natural, conditions as they do not tolerate direct sun and thrive alongside other tall rainforest trees. The industrial cacao Forastero, on the other hand, is usually grown in monoculture plantations. As the name already suggests, fine flavor cacao tastes better, finer and less bitter than consumer cacao because, like cacao nibs, it still contains the entire proportion of cacao butter (approx. 55%). Criollo cacao beans are slightly fermented and thus develop their typical cocoa aroma. Why consume cacao? The cacao bean is an amazing food given to us by Mother Nature. It was considered a gift from God by the Aztecs and used not only as an offering but also as a means of payment. It has been determined that raw cacao contains around 300 substances and is one of the foods with the highest antioxidant content! Cacao can therefore make a significant contribution to protecting our cells from free radicals and premature aging. Cacao has the highest magnesium content of any food. Magnesium is important for the heart, brain, to calm and relax nerves and muscles, and to build bones and cartilage. Together with other active ingredients, cacao is an ideal brain food and promotes mental alertness and concentration. Cacao beans contain a combination of substances that have a positive effect on our mood and induce feelings of well-being and joy. And cacao has a lot of sulphur, which is important for strong nails, healthy hair and beautiful, soft skin. What is cacao mass (paste) used for?
