Are hemp seeds gluten-free? According to the law, a product may be labelled "gluten-free" if it has a gluten content of no more than 20 mg per kg. This is easily the case with unhulled hemp seeds and all other hemp products, as hemp is basically gluten-free. However, there are several reasons why hemp seeds can still contain traces of gluten: Cross-contamination during harvesting: The combine harvester used to harvest the hemp seeds usually also threshes other plants such as corn or cereals. There is always some residue from previous harvests in the cracks of the machine. Depending on how the combine harvester is used, there may unfortunately also be wheat residues. Cross-contamination in the field: The farmer only plants hemp in the hemp field. However, the open field cannot be shielded against plants that enter the hemp field with the wind and also grow the following year.

Weight : 250g
Organic Hemp Protein with 65% Protein Update: The new batch with a best before date of 31.05.2025 is now available. It now has 65% instead of 56% protein content. The aroma, color and consistency are practically identical. For thousands of years, hemp has been one of the most versatile plants in nature. Its seeds are a composition of easily digestible protein, essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, fibre and lecithin in perfect balance for our body. Hemp protein powder is produced after the oil pressing of the seeds, which are then ground and sieved. It contains about 50% vegetable protein with all essential amino acids, which are vital and cannot be formed by the body itself. It is therefore a complete protein source. In addition, the proteins of edible hemp are of high biological value, because they are very similar to human protein and thus can be easily absorbed and digested by the body. The powder has a nutty flavour and is also a good source of essential fatty acids (omega-3/-6) and fibre. It is free of gluten and lactose. Hemp protein is an ideal component of a healthy diet and is therefore often used by sportily active people, vegetarians and vegans. Why we love Hemp Protein Powder Hemp seeds are a wonderful gift of nature. Not only are they one of the most nutritious foods on the planet but also the most environmentally friendly food ever! In this way, hemp protein can for example be easily converted to immunoglobulins of the immune system which help to protect us from infections. The biological value of hemp protein is comparable to egg white or meat, but free of cholesterol and unhealthy trans-fatty acids! SamaraNatura Hemp Protein Powder The hemp seeds for our protein powder come from certified organic farming. They are obtained from legal, officially approved cultivars, which are cultivated in Austria without pesticides and agrochemicals. Cedarnuts Organic
Weight : 250g
Cedar nuts from Siberia - a treasure of nature Cedar nuts taste similar to other pine nuts, but slightly sweeter and stronger. Unlike almost all commercially available pine nuts, our raw cedar nuts are not heat-treated. Why eat cedar nuts? Cedar nuts contain approx. 55% valuable unsaturated fatty acids, primarily linoleic and alpha-linolenic acid as well as the rare pinoleic/pinolenic acid. They are rich in tocopherols (vitamin E) as antioxidants and in high-quality proteins (approx. 17%). They also contain many minerals (especially magnesium, potassium, phosphorus), trace elements (copper, manganese, zinc), vitamins (K and B) and flavonoids. For centuries, the inhabitants of Siberia have valued the widespread cedar (Pinus sibirica), a Swiss stone pine, not only as a source of valuable wood, but also for its tasty and highly nutritious seeds, which are found in the cedar cones. What makes our cedar nuts special? Almost all commercially available pine nuts are treated with heat to make them last longer. Our cedar nuts, on the other hand, are completely untreated, which preserves the broad spectrum of nutrients. Where do our cedar nuts come from? They come from the Lake Baikal region in Siberia and are harvested by hand. The Siberian pine is a true treasure of Siberian nature, forming vast areas of unspoilt forests throughout northern Russia. The huge, magnificent trees (up to 40 metres tall) grow slowly and the first cones with seeds only appear when the trees are around 30 years old. They are among the longest-lived tree species in existence, as they can live for 300 to 800 years! The evergreen cedar is a storehouse of cosmic light energy, capturing the energy rays from cosmic space in its millions of needles during its long life. Even thousands of years ago, ancient peoples valued the properties of the cedar tree, which they called "the eternal". The brushwood was used to prepare a vitamin drink, the resin was used to heal wounds and ulcers, and the seeds and their oil helped to survive the long, harsh winters in Siberia. How to use cedar nuts in everyday life? Cedar nuts taste delicious on their own as a snack or together with dried fruit and other nuts, goji berries and cocoa nibs. They can be sprinkled on salads and other dishes or added to mayonnaise, creams and milk. Cedar nuts add a certain elegance to your cooking. Cedar nuts and their oil are also very good for skin care and regeneration. We recommend keeping cedar nuts in the fridge after opening, especially in summer. Customer opinion on the product "I really like cedar nuts. I like to mix them with a little water and then create something sweet or savoury from them. Our goji berries are grown in the fertile valleys of Ningxia Province in China without the use of pesticides and agrochemicals. There, on their native soil, the berries ripen on the bush, are harvested in the summer months and dried at low temperatures to preserve as many nutrients as possible. The berries are dried to a water content of 10-14% for a soft texture and can be rehydrated by simply soaking if required. Our pure goji berries are raw food quality, vegan and organically grown. Organic hemp oil from Austria
Organic hemp oil - rich in valuable omega-3 fatty acids The hemp plant produces oily seeds that contain between 25 - 35% oil by weight, which is rich in essential fatty acids (EFA). EFS are fatty acids that humans cannot produce themselves and are dependent on their intake through food. Why consume hemp oil? Hemp oil is an excellent food for the supply of EFS, with linoleic acid, alpha-linolenic acid and the rare gamma-linolenic acid. These fatty acids are required for the production of numerous hormones and for cell renewal. Fatty acids support the functions of the human body to maintain health and contribute to the normal development and growth of the organism. Omega-3 fatty acids are incorporated into the cell membrane and are necessary for its structure and function. Omega-3 fatty acids have an influence on blood lipid regulation. They contribute to health as part of a balanced diet. Hemp oil in comparison with similar products Hemp has an optimal functional ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids for humans, which is considered to be 4:1. Hardly any other plant food source contains the essential fatty acids (EFAs) in such an ideal ratio for the human organism! Although hemp oil is more expensive than hemp seeds, the EFS in the oil are more readily available and easier for the body to metabolise. Since EFS are so important for our nutrition, since most people's bodies do not function optimally and since hemp is such a product rich in vital substances, we think it is a good idea to have both oil and seeds in your daily diet. Hemp oil for skin care The oil can also be used externally for skin care, even if the skin is in poor condition, as it is easily absorbed and moisturising. What makes our cold-pressed organic hemp oil special? Most oils sold in supermarkets are extracted at excessively high temperatures and with solvents and then refined. The oils lack the beneficial properties and contain harmful trans fatty acids as a result of the hydrogenation process. Our hemp oil is gently cold-pressed in Austria from local organic hemp seeds, filled into dark-coloured bottles, sealed and stored in a cool place to preserve the oil's impressive nutritional properties. 1 litre of hemp oil is obtained from 5kg of unpeeled hemp seeds. It has a beautiful green-yellow colour and a nutty, slightly grassy flavour. Please note that oils should be pressed at minimum heat, as the higher the temperature, the faster the oil is destroyed by light, oxygen and other chemical reactions. A change in the fatty acid molecules due to the effect of heat also impairs the nutritional value and biological value of the oil. Use of organic hemp oil in everyday life It is not suitable for frying and should only be used in its raw state. Hemp oil adds a flavourful note to salad dressings, marinades, mayonnaises, dips and spreads. It can be used instead of or together with olive, walnut and safflower oil. The intake for a person with an average build/body fat profile can be 1-3 tablespoons (up to 50ml) per day. Sea Buckthorn Berries dried Organic
Organic dried sea buckthorn berries - unsweetened & from wild collection Why buy sea buckthorn berries? An analysis carried out by the retailer provided evidence of the sensational amounts of vital substances in sea buckthorn. The berries have a very high omega 7 fatty acid and B12 content. This high content is probably only contained in the Uzbek wild-collected organic sea buckthorn. Cultivated sea buckthorn usually has much lower levels and vitamin B12 in plant foods is very rare! Dried sea buckthorn contains mostly the same vital substances and nutrients as fresh sea buckthorn, only in a more concentrated form because the water has been removed. These wild sea buckthorn berries have an intense, spicy and very sour taste. They have a strong, intense light - to dark orange color. The pulp surrounds a core, which is also dried. This results in a crispy consistency. What makes our wild organic sea buckthorn berries special? When fully ripe, the wild sea buckthorn berries are picked by hand, washed and gently dried with the help of the sun. The drying process used is a very environmentally friendly solar drying method that is extremely gentle on the product. The organic sea buckthorn berries are:• unsulphured (according to EU organic regulation)• without artificial additives• without preservatives• without dyes Where do our organic sea buckthorn berries come from? Wild harvested organic sea buckthorn berries are very hard to come by. We could buy a batch with origin Ukraine. High-quality nylon nut milk bag Making your own nut milk is actually quite simple. Hazelnuts, almonds, macadamia nuts, cashews and even sesame or hemp seeds (shelled or unshelled) are suitable. We have a large selection of natural and sprouted nuts in our range. It's best to just try it out - the proof of the pudding is in the eating! Advantages and disadvantages of fresh nut milk Freshly prepared nut milk is not only very tasty, but also a source of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, unsaturated fatty acids and antioxidants. As fresh nut milk contains no additives and is not pasteurised, it spoils after just 24 hours in the fridge. We therefore recommend that you only ever make small quantities. Origin of nut milk bag The high-quality Naturkostbar nut milk bag comes from a small business in Arizona. Two friends - Karla and Elaina - developed and sewed the first nut milk bag for their raw food events here in 1999. They simplified the extraction of nut milk, as the dripping and handling with cheesecloth was understandably too cumbersome for them. Karla has been producing the high-quality nut milk bags in her sewing workshop with a lot of love and high quality standards ever since. Elaina's company sells the products. What material is the nut milk bag made of? The nut milk bag is made of nylon. How do I use the nut milk bag? For making nut milk: Soak one to two cups of nuts in fresh water overnight. Soaking produces enzymes (phytases) that break down the phytic acid, making the nuts easier to digest. Pour away the soaking water and rinse the nuts briefly. Blend the nuts with 2-3 cups of fresh water. The more powerful the blender, the better. Drain the blended mixture through the nut milk bag into a pan and squeeze gently. You can dry the fibre remaining in the nut milk bag and process it into nut flour using the blender. Wrap the flour in an airtight container and store it in the fridge. It is suitable as a high-fibre ingredient for cakes, biscuits, crepes, etc.
