Elderberries dried organic 100g

Product information "Elderberries dried organic 100g"

Organic elderberries - popular wild plant since the Neolithic Age

Please do not eat these elderberries raw! Cook them well (10 minutes) before eating.

The elderberries are rich in vital substances, without any additives, 100% natural and have an aromatic taste and strengthening ingredients.

What makes our organic elderberries special?

Pearls of Samarkand organic elderberries are:

  • 100% pure organic nature
  • without artificial additives such as preservatives, acidifiers, sweeteners or colorings
  • gently processed and sun-dried
  • laser cleaned and specially selected
  • vegan
  • raw food
  • unsulphured and unoiled

These elderberries have a very intense and fruity-sour taste. The berries are dark blue on the outside and inside and the outer skin shimmers violet, which is why they are often used for coloring purposes. In consistency, comparable to other small berries, they are soft to slightly crunchy.

Why consume organic elderberries?

Elderberries are rich in vitamins C and B and the coloring agent in elderberries (sambucyanin) is one of the flavonoids, which are secondary plant substances.

The anthocyanidins protect our cells from free radicals, which in turn can slow down our human aging process. The polyphenols it contains can have a positive effect on vascular damage.

Folk medicine has known many uses for elderberries for centuries. Since we as dealers are not allowed to make any health promises, we ask you to look for further information on health benefits in specialist literature or on the Internet.

Information on origin and manufacture

Our dried organic elderberries come from Uzbekistan. They are harvested by hand from organically certified areas and then carefully cleaned so that the full aroma and structure are preserved. The elderberries are gently dried with the help of the sun.

In Austria, the elderberries are pressure treated and laser cleaned. The interaction of pressure and time ensures absolute freedom from pests. During the subsequent multiple cleaning in the laser cleaning system, the organic berries are checked individually to rule out any foreign contamination.

Use of elderberries in everyday life

Cooked as a varied ingredient in yoghurt or dessert. Also suitable in spicy dishes such as game dishes, sauces and chutneys.

Please do not eat these dried elderberries raw! Cook them well (10 minutes) before eating.

Erdbeeren getrocknet Bio Fairtrade 60g
Blueberries (Bilberries) Organic wild collection
Weight : 125g
Wild organic Blueberries (Bilberries) - antioxidants and pleasure combined Update: All sizes (125g, 250g and 1kg bags) are available. In addition, we also have organic bilberry powder from Bosnia in our product range.  There is something magical about wild blueberries, these dark purple, almost black mini berries with a fascinating taste that grow almost unnoticed on dainty bushes in the mountain forests! And they are packed full of healthy nutrients like no other fruit - a real super fruit! And the childhood memories - hours of wandering through light coniferous forests across the blueberry bushes and eagerly collecting the little jewels. These delicious and nutritious dried wild blueberries make a great snack. They have a wide range of important nutrients and are particularly rich in vitamins C, E and B6 as well as iron, fiber and other vital substances such as resveratrol, zeaxanthin, lutein, anthocyanins and other polyphenolic compounds. Because they contain such a high amount of phenols, especially gallic acid, blueberries are known as "nerve protectants". According to researchers from Iran, this means that they can literally protect our brain from degeneration, neurotoxicity and oxidative stress. What is special about a fruit is its high iron content, which raises energy levels through the production of oxygen-rich blood cells throughout the body. In addition, dried wild blueberries contain a very high antioxidant capacity of around 50,000 µmol TE / 100g (ORAC value = Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity). Blueberry extract skin care products are becoming increasingly popular around the world. The wide range of vitamins and minerals have been reported to help restore hormonal balance, which counteracts acne. This makes blueberries an excellent home remedy for acne. Blueberries also contain resveratrol, a natural sunscreen that can tan your skin. Wild blueberries vs cultivated blueberries They look almost the same. Both are blue, round and taste great. But what are the differences between these two berries? Blueberry has become a universal name for blue-colored berries of the Vaccinium genus, but it is good to know the difference between cultivated blueberries (often called American blueberries) and wild blueberries (European blueberries). While cultivated blueberries are grown in various locations around the world, wild blueberries grow on small shrubs mainly in the northern parts of the northern hemisphere. Wild blueberries compared to cultivated blueberries have a higher vitamin content and a much higher content of anthocyanins. The anthocyanins in the wild bilberry are visible to the eye as blue and red pigments in the pulp, which is juicy and bluish-purple. The cultivated blueberry, on the other hand, has an almost transparent white and somewhat floury pulp. The wild blueberry has been used since the 16th century, both the dried berries and the leaves. Modern interest stems in part from the use of the fruit by British pilots during World War II when pilots noticed that their night vision was better during bombing after eating blueberry jam. Why we love wild blueberries Most of the dried wild blueberries on the market have added sugar and preservatives. We prefer our 100% pure and raw food quality, with their wonderful natural taste. Our wild blueberries have a dark purple, almost black color, which indicates the quality and purity of the product. In addition, nowadays almost only garden blueberries (American blueberries) are available from cultivation, which are simply not as good and significantly less rich in vital substances than wild blueberries. Wild blueberries from SamaraNatura and Pearls of Samarkand Our wild blueberries are dark purple and quite dry and crispy, with a sweet and sour taste, fruity and very aromatic. They are 100% natural, carefully processed and dried and without preservatives, colorings, sweeteners or other unnatural additives. Different sizes and origins Organic wild-collected blueberries are very hard to come by. The bags originating from Bosnia are sold out and unfortunately the new batch had to be returned completely due to an infestation. We hope to be able to offer the new harvest in autumn 2022. In the meantime we were able to buy a small stock from Ukraine. These wild blueberries come from the Lemberg/Lviv region in western Ukraine, near the Polish border. This is the 2021 harvest, i.e. before the war. Usage of Wild Blueberries Thanks to their intense, typical blueberry taste, they are perfect as an addition to muesli, smoothies and dessert topping. For smoothie recipe, we recommend you soak the wild blueberries the night before, so they plump up and are easier to blend up with your other smoothie ingredients. They also fit well into yogurt (also vegan coconut yogurt) and honey. A real treat! Sea Buckthorn Berries dried Organic
Organic dried sea buckthorn berries - unsweetened & from wild collection Why buy sea buckthorn berries? An analysis carried out by the retailer provided evidence of the sensational amounts of vital substances in sea buckthorn. The berries have a very high omega 7 fatty acid and B12 content. This high content is probably only contained in the Uzbek wild-collected organic sea buckthorn. Cultivated sea buckthorn usually has much lower levels and vitamin B12 in plant foods is very rare! Dried sea buckthorn contains mostly the same vital substances and nutrients as fresh sea buckthorn, only in a more concentrated form because the water has been removed. These wild sea buckthorn berries have an intense, spicy and very sour taste. They have a strong, intense light - to dark orange color. The pulp surrounds a core, which is also dried. This results in a crispy consistency. What makes our wild organic sea buckthorn berries special? When fully ripe, the wild sea buckthorn berries are picked by hand, washed and gently dried with the help of the sun. The drying process used is a very environmentally friendly solar drying method that is extremely gentle on the product. The organic sea buckthorn berries are:• unsulphured (according to EU organic regulation)• without artificial additives• without preservatives• without dyes Where do our organic sea buckthorn berries come from? Wild harvested organic sea buckthorn berries are very hard to come by. We could buy a batch with origin Ukraine.
