Organic Cashews Jumbo - hand cracked and Fairtrade
The popular jumbo cashews are unfortunately no longer available. Our supplier has discontinued the product. As an alternative, we recommend the hand-cracked cashew nuts from Togo.
These jumbo cashews are among the largest cashews in the world. They are, unlike most other cashews, really in raw food quality, which means hand cracked and not heated. This not only keeps the nutrients much better, but also results in an exceptional quality! The cashews are aromatic and nicely crisp without being dry. The cashews are very light to beige in color.
Origin
These Pearls of Samarkand cashews come from Sri Lanka. The area is extensively certified organic and Fairtrade and is managed by the farmers living there. The farmers belong to one of the two fair trade groups SOFA or MOPA. By purchasing these Fairtrade Jumbo Cashews, you are helping these Fairtrade Smallholder groups improve their lives through hard and honest work.
Use
We love these cashews as a snack or mixed with fresh fruit or dried fruit. Sprinkle cashews on salads or use them for cashew milk as well as many vegan desserts such as pudding and cheesecake.
Tip: The combination of cashew kernels with goji berries and / or cocoa chips brings a taste experience of a very special kind.
