Lucuma Powder Organic

Product information "Lucuma Powder Organic"

Organic lucuma powder - heavenly delicious fruit powder

What is lucuma powder?

Lucuma (Pouteria lucuma), the "sweet gold of the Incas", is a subtropical, exotic fruit from South America that has long been revered by the ancient Andean culture.

Why buy lucuma powder?

  • Healthy fruit sweetness with a low glycaemic index
  • Particularly rich in beta-carotene, iron, vitamin B1 and B2
  • Versatile ingredient for cakes, desserts and ice creams

Ever since we got to know Lucuma powder, it has been one of our favourite foods.

The healthy fruit sweetness with a low glycaemic index is particularly rich in beta-carotene, iron, vitamin B1 and B2.

Its biscuit-like sweetness makes it a favourite in (raw) cakes, desserts and chocolates. We like to add it to our creams and ice creams and as a gourmet ingredient to all sweets - the wonderful flavour and biscuit-like sweetness of lucuma powder enhances every dessert. In Peru, the yellowish-orange fruit is the most popular flavour in ice cream.

What makes our lucuma powder special?

  • Free from pesticides and agrochemicals
  • Raw food quality
  • Gentle processing
  • Best flavour

Lucuma from SamaraNatura is free from pesticides and agrochemicals.

The lucuma pulp is dried in a solar drying plant at low temperatures in accordance with raw food quality standards, then gently ground and sieved.

Although lucuma also grows in other tropical regions, the flavour of the fruit that grows in the Peruvian highlands is rated even better. This is where our lucuma powder comes from. The beautiful, dark yellow powder has a flavour reminiscent of maple syrup and cashews.

Tips for use

Lucuma powder is an extremely versatile and tasty ingredient that works well in ice creams, baby food, yoghurts, cakes, chocolate and desserts and can be used for lucuma mousse, pudding or parfait. It is ideal as a sweet flour for pies, cakes and pastries and tastes delicious in smoothies, nut milks and other drinks.

The powder produces a rich, creamy consistency and transforms your raw food creations into a heavenly gourmet treat! We mostly use it in sweet dishes, but we have been told that it also tastes great in savoury dishes.

Just like maca, lucuma helps to combine and emulsify fats and oils with sugar and polysaccharides. For example, lucuma is ideal as an ingredient for a dish or drink with cocoa nibs (50% fat) and yacon root syrup (polysaccharides). It combines cocoa and yacon in flavour and consistency. Mesquite powder organic
Weight : 250g
Mesquite powder - sweetener from the desert Mesquite was a traditional staple food of the indigenous people of the arid regions of North and South America. Today, mesquite powder is being rediscovered as a nutritious and tasty food and used all over the world. Mesquite has the sweet, wild taste of the desert with a hint of caramel and is versatile. Mesquite has a protein content of approx. 14% and is rich in calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc and the amino acid lysine, which is rarely found in a grain-heavy diet. Mesquite is 25% fiber and has a low glycemic index. Mesquite flour is naturally gluten-free. Why We Love Mesquite Powder Mesquite has a sweet, malty taste that is similar to carob, but with a caramel flavor. The full-bodied taste and aroma goes well with vanilla and chocolate and it gives sweet treats a delicious maltiness. Mesquite can be mixed with nut milk, is an excellent ingredient in smoothies and is delicious sprinkled on ice cream. An exquisite malty chocolate can be made with it, and mesquite can also be used as a partial aromatic substitute for flour. It is a wonderful food to experiment with SamaraNatura organic mesquite powder Our mesquite powder is made from the whole pods of the mesquite tree, which are gently dried and then processed into a flour or powder. Since there is no guarantee that the temperature will always remain below 42°C during drying, we refrain from using the term raw food quality. How to use Mesquite is a delicious ingredient for cakes, desserts, smoothies, ice cream and homemade bread. It tastes particularly good in combination with cocoa and maca. Carob powder organic
Weight : 250g
Carob powder - from the pods of the carob tree Carob is a legume that grows on the carob tree, a wild, evergreen tree native to the Mediterranean, and has been used as a sweetener and nutritious natural snack for thousands of years. Carob was well known to the ancient Greeks, who spread the seeds of this plant in Greece and Italy. Why consume carob powder? People who don't know much about carob think it's a healthy version of (high-sugar, high-fat) chocolate, but it's so much more. We like to mix carob with raw cocoa for a sweet and healthy treat, because cocoa has a lot of magnesium and compared to cocoa, carob contains three times as much calcium, a third less calories and only 1% fat. Carob is naturally sweet and fewer sweeteners are needed when it is used in recipes. It has a low glycaemic index, is low in fat and exceptionally nutritious, rich in calcium, protein and fibre. What makes our carob powder special? Our organic carob powder from Spain is gently heated and ground for drying in order to preserve its flavour, colour and nutrients. Due to the drying process at well over 42° C, it is no longer raw food. Due to the different requirements, we offer carob powder in 2 different sizes: 250g and 500g. These can be selected at the top right under "Weight variants". Using carob in everyday life and for great recipes Use carob powder to sweeten dishes, in desserts, smoothies, sprinkled on your muesli, as an ingredient in raw chocolate and cakes as well as in quick and nutritious snacks. Tip: Hemp protein squares with carob and goji berries. Yacon Syrup Organic
Content: 250ml/330g
Yacon Syrup Organic - Delicious, prebiotic sweetener Yacon is grown in the high mountain valleys of the Andes and has a dense root system that is full of minerals, vitamins and complex vital substances. The freshly squeezed juice of the root is a gift from nature and has been enjoyed by the Andean peoples for centuries. The special thing about Yacon is the quality of its sugar, which is mainly in the form of oligofructose (or fructooligosaccharides). Oligofructose cannot be used by the digestive enzymes and therefore hardly causes any calories and protects the blood sugar level. In addition, as a prebiotic, oligofructose supports a healthy intestinal flora. An ideal sweetener for diabetics, health-conscious and diet-conscious people alike. Why we love Yacon Syrup Yacon tastes delicious and has half as many calories as honey, for example. And on top of that, its sugar hardly increases the blood sugar level and avoids strenuous blood sugar highs and lows. Yacon syrup is also significantly less glycemic than honey, agave or maple syrup. The oligofructose in Yacon also supports the beneficial bacteria in the colon, thereby improving digestion and absorption of nutrients. The indigestible sugar thus serves the beneficial bacteria as prebiotic food. SamaraNatura Yacon Syrup Our yacon syrup comes from traditional varieties from the Peruvian Andes and is 100% natural, grown without pesticides and agrochemicals. It is produced at low temperatures, which guarantees that the syrup retains a very high quality of nutrients and enzymes. This yacon syrup is thickened from yacon juice in a special vacuum process at low temperatures of 45°C. Since this yacon syrup can only be kept for a relatively short time without pasteurization, it is pasteurized at 70°C for 3 minutes. The syrup is therefore not raw food, but processed very gently, which means that the valuable nutrients and enzymes in the roots are largely retained. How to use Yacon syrup can be used in many ways as a sweetener. It can be used to sweeten desserts, drinks and smoothies. For salad dressings, we like to mix the syrup with vinegar, as a substitute for balsamic vinegar, which usually contains a lot of sugar. The sweetness of the syrup is less strong than the sweetness of sugar, honey or agave syrup. To support a healthy intestinal flora, 1 teaspoon is sufficient daily. For a better shelf life, we recommend storing the yacon syrup in the refrigerator. Agave Syrup Organic
Content: 250ml
Premium agave syrup in raw food quality What is agave? The agave is a cactus-like plant from Mexico. Agave syrup is a delicious sweetener made from the juice inside agaves that are at least eight years old. The Mexicans traditionally collected the sweet juice ("aguamiel") from various agaves in order to make sweeteners and special drinks for celebrations. Why buy agave syrup? Agave syrup is a vegan alternative to honey and has a pleasant taste, like a mixture of honey and maple syrup. It can be used in many ways as a sweetener. Only the very gently processed agave syrup like ours has a low glycemic index and is only slowly absorbed into the bloodstream. It is therefore particularly recommended for people who are sensitive to sugar. What makes our agave syrup special? Most conventional agave syrups, including those from organic farming, are made from 3-6 different agave species and have been heated up and pasteurized, as the juice of the agave spoils quickly after it has been removed. The contained healthier multiple sugars (polysaccharides, mainly in the form of inulin) are converted into simple sugars. They have lost a large part of their nutrients! Our agave syrup is obtained exclusively from the Salmiana agave, is processed very gently and at low temperatures and is therefore of the best quality available on the market. No pesticides or other agrochemicals are used in cultivation. The syrup is produced in special vacuum containers in which the water it contains evaporates at very low temperatures. The valuable vitamins, minerals and enzymes are largely preserved and available for our body. Because our agave syrup is 100% natural, it has a stronger taste and a darker color than commercially available concentrated juices. How to use in the daily diet? Agave syrup is characterized by a high, neutral sweetness. It enhances the aroma and is easily soluble in cold and warm dishes and drinks. Ideally suited for baked goods and due to the low tendency to crystallize for the production of jams and jellies. Maca - Ancient Superfood from the Andes The root vegetable has been a staple food of the indigenous peoples of the Andes for thousands of years and is an excellent source of energy and stamina. Its content of bioavailable protein is about 11% in the dried root. For legal reasons (Swiss Food Ordinance), as a food retailer we are not allowed to make any statements about possible effects. Do your own research on Maca on the Internet. Among others, we find the site of Dr. Schweikart very informative. The different varieties are also described there. Currently, our assortment includes, in addition to the yellow Maca described here, also the red and black Maca, of course also in organic and raw food quality. In addition, we carry Bio Maca Max, a more digestible variety, in which the starch contained in the Maca powder is converted by heating, so that it is easier to digest and absorb. Why we love Maca Maca increases our energy levels. Maca makes us feel full of energy, grounded and cheerful.Plus, Maca has a pleasant, malty flavor and can be used in many different ways. SamaraNatura Maca Powder yellow Our pure, yellow, Maca powder is made from 100% natural Maca roots from controlled organic cultivation, produced under strict production standards and quality controls. They all come from altitudes above 4000 meters above sea level in the Junín region of Peru. Our suppliers work together with small farmers. In doing so, they create jobs for the regional population and advise the small entrepreneurs by providing training and financial support. This is a means of raising the standard of living of small farmers while increasing their crop yields. How to use Maca Powder Maca has a unique flavor and can be added to many different dishes. Some people find the taste of maca powder somewhat reminiscent of caramel with an upbeat note. Maca powder can be stirred into rice, nut or hemp milk, for example, or simply mixed into muesli. Mix Maca powder with water, milk of your choice or add it to juice, smoothie, muesli or raw desserts. Maca is also a good binder for soups and therefore a delicious addition to them. We especially like maca with oatmeal and as an ingredient in our raw chocolate recipes. It is advisable to start with a small amount of ½ tsp per day and increase up to 1-2 tbsp per day. Unlike soy products, Mexican yam and flaxseed, maca does not contain hormones.Note: A common misconception about superfoods and herbs is that there is a standard usage amount. In general, the usual recommended daily intake for most superfoods, like maca, is between 1 tsp and 3 tbsp per day, divided into two or three doses. It is best to start with 1 tsp per day and adjust the amount to your personal needs. Cacao powder Peru organic
Cacao powder Peru - Low in fat with 10-12% cocoa butter content Update: Due to the cocoa shortage, our supplier was unable to send us 100% Criollo powder. The new batch contains 70% Criollo cocoa (previously 100%). The remaining 30% is Forastero, Trinitario and Nacional. They are also high quality, organically certified and from Peru. That is why our cocoa powder is temporarily called "Cocoa Powder Peru". Our raw cocoa powder originates from the precious cocoa sauce Criollo and has a delicious, full chocolate taste. It is made from unroasted cocoa beans and contains up to twice as much antioxidants as conventional cocoa powder. The gentle processing at low temperatures preserves vitamins, minerals, enzymes and antioxidants which can be absorbed so optimally by the body. Cocoa has all the benefits of chocolate, but without the undesirably high sugar content and the additives of commercial chocolate. Raw cocoa has an abundance of antioxidants and the combination of serotonin, dopamine, anandamide and phenetylamine (PEA) illuminates our mood and creates feelings of wellbeing and joy in us. Cocoa is also rich in magnesium. Our cocoa is grown by small farmers in the Amazon rainforest under semi-natural conditions. Why we love Cocoa powder The cocoa bean is an impressive food given to us by Mother Nature. It was regarded by the Aztecs as a gift of God and was used not only as a sacrifice, but also as a means of payment. It has been found that raw cocoa contains about 300 substances and is one of the foods with the highest content of antioxidants! Cocoa can therefore help to protect our cells from free radicals and highly reactive oxygen compounds. They are important to maintain and function the cell. Cocoa has the highest magnesium content of all foods. Magnesium is a component of bones and teeth, plays an important role in energy metabolism and is essential for a normal muscle function and for energy metabolism. Magnesium also plays a role in the skeletal structure and is important in the transmission of stimuli in the nervous system during muscle contraction. Cocoa beans contain a combination of substances that trigger feelings of wellbeing and joy in us. SamaraNatura organic Cocoa powder Criollo Our cocoa powder is made from the Peruvian precious cocoa variety Criollo, one of the world's rarest and best cocoa varieties, and comes from a cooperative in Peru, which dispenses with the use of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers and supplies the largest raw materials stores in the United States and Great Britain. To prepare the powder, the uncooked noble cocoa beans are first ground. The dark-brown viscous cocoa mass produced in this way is compressed by cold pressing to form a cake from which the liquid golden yellow cocoa butter slowly drains. The remaining "cocoa press cake" is subsequently finely ground and sieved through. This process does not require any chemicals, additives or extraction solvents and produces a fine, soft powder with a full, wonderful chocolate flavor. The quality of our organic, fair trade certified Criollo cocoa is of great purity and free from mycotoxins, mold and yeast, and prevents you from experiencing this nervous tension that is associated with the consumption of caffeine-containing foods and drinks. Use Mix cocoa powder to your muesli, smoothies, (hot) milk drinks, protein drinks and teas. As an ingredient for all delicious chocolate creations and desserts. Cacao nibs Criollo Organic
Cocoa nibs Criollo - 100% raw and unprocessed Cocoa nibs (also known as cocoa nibs) are obtained from cocoa beans by peeling them and breaking them into pieces. They taste even less bitter than cocoa beans. Our cocoa nibs made from fine flavoured cocoa are 100% raw and unprocessed. The fine flavoured cocoa is grown by small farmers in the Amazon rainforest under semi-wild conditions. Cocoa has all the benefits of chocolate, but without the unwanted high sugar content and additives. Why consume cocoa nibs? The cocoa bean is an amazing food given to us by Mother Nature. It was considered a gift from God by the Aztecs and was used not only as an offering but also as a means of payment. It has been determined that raw cocoa contains around 300 substances. Cocoa has the highest magnesium content of all foods. Magnesium is a component of bones and teeth, plays an important role in energy metabolism and is essential for normal muscle function and energy metabolism. Magnesium also plays a role in skeletal development and is important in the transmission of stimuli in the nervous system during muscle contraction. Cocoa beans contain a combination of substances that have a positive effect on our mood and trigger feelings of well-being and joy. What makes our organic cocoa nibs special? Our cocoa nibs are 100% raw and unprocessed. They come from the Criollo fine flavoured cocoa variety from Peru, which is one of the rarest and best varieties in the world. Our fine flavoured cocoa is cultivated without the use of pesticides or synthetic fertilisers. Fine flavoured cocoa varieties only account for 5-10% of global cocoa production. They grow under similar, often almost natural conditions, as they do not tolerate direct sunlight and thrive alongside other tall rainforest trees. Forastero industrial cocoa, on the other hand, is usually grown in monoculture plantations. As the name suggests, fine flavoured cocoa tastes better, finer and less bitter than consumer cocoa. Criollo cocoa beans are lightly fermented and therefore develop more of their typical cocoa flavour. Cocoa nibs are extracted from the cocoa bean by peeling it and breaking it into pieces. The quality of our organic, fairly traded, certified Criollo cocoa is of great purity and free from mycotoxins, mould and yeast, preventing you from experiencing that nervous tension associated with the consumption of caffeinated foods and drinks. How to use cocoa nibs? On their own as a snack or sprinkled on muesli and fruit salad. Add to desserts and smoothies. Cocoa nibs taste particularly good together with goji berries and nuts. Cocoa nibs are practical for travelling and on the go, as they do not soften as quickly in the sun as normal chocolate. If you prefer more sweetness, you can dip the cocoa nibs in agave syrup or honey.
