Carob powder organic

Product information "Carob powder organic"

Carob powder - from the pods of the carob tree

Carob is a legume that grows on the carob tree, a wild, evergreen tree native to the Mediterranean, and has been used as a sweetener and nutritious natural snack for thousands of years. Carob was well known to the ancient Greeks, who spread the seeds of this plant in Greece and Italy.

Why consume carob powder?

People who don't know much about carob think it's a healthy version of (high-sugar, high-fat) chocolate, but it's so much more. We like to mix carob with raw cocoa for a sweet and healthy treat, because cocoa has a lot of magnesium and compared to cocoa, carob contains three times as much calcium, a third less calories and only 1% fat.

Carob is naturally sweet and fewer sweeteners are needed when it is used in recipes. It has a low glycaemic index, is low in fat and exceptionally nutritious, rich in calcium, protein and fibre.

What makes our carob powder special?

Our organic carob powder from Spain is gently heated and ground for drying in order to preserve its flavour, colour and nutrients. Due to the drying process at well over 42° C, it is no longer raw food.

Due to the different requirements, we offer carob powder in 2 different sizes: 250g and 500g. These can be selected at the top right under "Weight variants".

Using carob in everyday life and for great recipes

Use carob powder to sweeten dishes, in desserts, smoothies, sprinkled on your muesli, as an ingredient in raw chocolate and cakes as well as in quick and nutritious snacks.

Tip: Hemp protein squares with carob and goji berries. You can find the recipe under The best superfood & raw food recipes: Maca Cacao Goji Hemp Seeds Baobab | SamaraNatura

Lucuma Powder Organic
Weight : 250g
Organic lucuma powder - heavenly delicious fruit powder What is lucuma powder? Lucuma (Pouteria lucuma), the "sweet gold of the Incas", is a subtropical, exotic fruit from South America that has long been revered by the ancient Andean culture. Why buy lucuma powder? Healthy fruit sweetness with a low glycaemic index Particularly rich in beta-carotene, iron, vitamin B1 and B2 Versatile ingredient for cakes, desserts and ice creams Ever since we got to know Lucuma powder, it has been one of our favourite foods. The healthy fruit sweetness with a low glycaemic index is particularly rich in beta-carotene, iron, vitamin B1 and B2. Its biscuit-like sweetness makes it a favourite in (raw) cakes, desserts and chocolates. We like to add it to our creams and ice creams and as a gourmet ingredient to all sweets - the wonderful flavour and biscuit-like sweetness of lucuma powder enhances every dessert. In Peru, the yellowish-orange fruit is the most popular flavour in ice cream. What makes our lucuma powder special? Free from pesticides and agrochemicals Raw food quality Gentle processing Best flavour Lucuma from SamaraNatura is free from pesticides and agrochemicals. The lucuma pulp is dried in a solar drying plant at low temperatures in accordance with raw food quality standards, then gently ground and sieved. Although lucuma also grows in other tropical regions, the flavour of the fruit that grows in the Peruvian highlands is rated even better. This is where our lucuma powder comes from. The beautiful, dark yellow powder has a flavour reminiscent of maple syrup and cashews. Tips for use Lucuma powder is an extremely versatile and tasty ingredient that works well in ice creams, baby food, yoghurts, cakes, chocolate and desserts and can be used for lucuma mousse, pudding or parfait. It is ideal as a sweet flour for pies, cakes and pastries and tastes delicious in smoothies, nut milks and other drinks. The powder produces a rich, creamy consistency and transforms your raw food creations into a heavenly gourmet treat! We mostly use it in sweet dishes, but we have been told that it also tastes great in savoury dishes. Just like maca, lucuma helps to combine and emulsify fats and oils with sugar and polysaccharides. For example, lucuma is ideal as an ingredient for a dish or drink with cocoa nibs (50% fat) and yacon root syrup (polysaccharides). It combines cocoa and yacon in flavour and consistency. Yacon Syrup Organic
Content: 250ml/330g
Organic Yacon Syrup - Delicious, prebiotic sweetener Yacon is grown in the high mountain valleys of the Andes and has a dense root system that is bursting with minerals, vitamins and complex vital substances. The freshly squeezed juice of the root is a gift of nature and has been savoured by the Andean peoples for centuries. Why consume yacon syrup? An ideal sweetener for the health-conscious, diet-conscious and diabetics. The special thing about yacon is the quality of its sugar, which is predominantly in the form of oligofructose (or fructooligosaccharides). Oligofructose cannot be utilised by the digestive enzymes and therefore causes hardly any calories and is gentle on the blood sugar level. Yacon tastes delicious and has half the calories of honey, for example. Yacon syrup is also significantly less glycaemic than honey, agave syrup or maple syrup. The oligofructose in yacon also supports the beneficial bacteria in the large intestine and thus improves the digestion and absorption of nutrients. The indigestible sugar thus serves as prebiotic food for the beneficial bacteria. What makes our yacon syrup special? Our yacon syrup comes from traditional varieties from the Peruvian Andes and is 100% natural, grown without pesticides or agrochemicals. It is produced at low temperatures, which guarantees that the syrup retains a very high quality of nutrients and enzymes. This yacon syrup is thickened from yacon juice in a special low-pressure process at low temperatures of 45°C. As yacon syrup can only be kept for a relatively short time without pasteurisation and additives, it is pasteurised at 70°C for 3 minutes. Our yacon syrup is therefore not raw, but is processed very gently, which means that the valuable nutrients and enzymes of the root are largely preserved. How to use yacon syrup? Yacon syrup is a versatile sweetener. It can be used to sweeten desserts, drinks and smoothies. For salad dressings, we like to mix the syrup with vinegar as a substitute for balsamic vinegar, which usually contains a lot of sugar. The sweetening power of the syrup is less than that of sugar, honey or agave syrup. To support a healthy intestinal flora, 1 teaspoon a day is sufficient. For a longer shelf life, we recommend storing the yacon syrup in the fridge. In addition to the yellow maca described here, our range currently also includes red and black maca, naturally also in organic and raw food quality. We also offer Bio Maca Max, a somewhat more digestible variant in which the starch contained in the maca powder is converted by heating, making it easier to digest and absorb. Maca increases our energy levels. Maca makes us feel energised, grounded and happy. Maca also has a pleasant, malty flavour and can be used in many different ways. The root vegetable has been a staple food of the indigenous peoples of the Andes for thousands of years and is an excellent source of energy and stamina. Its content of biologically utilisable protein is approx. 11% in the dried root. For legal reasons (Swiss Foodstuffs Ordinance), as a food retailer we are not permitted to make any statements about possible effects. Do your own research on maca on the Internet. We find Dr Schweikart 's website very informative. The different varieties are also described there. What makes our yellow maca powder special and where is it produced? Our pure yellow maca powder is made from 100% natural maca roots from controlled organic cultivation, produced under strict production standards and quality controls. They all come from altitudes of over 4000 metres above sea level in the Junín region of Peru. Our suppliers work together with small farmers. In doing so, they create jobs for the local population and advise the small entrepreneurs by offering training and financial support. This is a means of raising the standard of living of small farmers and at the same time increasing their crop yields. How to use yellow maca powder in everyday life? Maca has a unique flavour and can be added to many different dishes. Some people find the flavour of maca powder somewhat reminiscent of caramel with a peppery note. Maca powder can be stirred into rice, nut or hemp milk, for example, or simply mixed into muesli. Mix maca powder with water, milk of your choice or add it to juice, smoothies, muesli or raw desserts. Maca is also a good binding agent for soups and therefore a tasty addition. We particularly like maca together with oatmeal and as an ingredient in our raw chocolate recipes. More recipes... It is advisable to start with a small amount of ½ tsp per day and increase up to 1-2 tbsp per day. Unlike soya products, Mexican yam and linseed, maca does not contain hormones. Note: A common misconception about superfoods and herbs is that there is a standard amount to consume. In general, the usual recommended daily intake for most superfoods, including maca, is between 1 tsp and 3 tbsp per day, divided into two or three doses. It is best to start with 1 tsp per day and adjust the amount to your personal needs. Coconut oil organic
Virgin coconut oil - the valuable all-round product Update: Our SamaraNatura coconut oil is unfortunately sold out. To bridge the gap (until the new batch arrives) we are offering coconut oil from Dr Goerg and Naturkostbar. Why buy organic coconut oil? Natural, aromatic flavour Use in the kitchen and for body care High heat stability For weight loss support The wholesome coconut oil with its naturally fragrant, mildly aromatic flavour is a must in the kitchen! A major advantage of coconut oil over other oils is that it is very heat-stable. This makes it ideal for cooking, frying and baking. It also has a long shelf life. Coconut fat does not make you fat and is even said to help you lose weight, as it is immediately converted into energy by the body. The special saturated fatty acids in coconut (so-called MCT fats) - and in particular the high lauric acid content - are of great nutritional benefit. Breast milk also consists largely of these medium-chain fatty acids, which themselves do not contain cholesterol, but promote the production of healthy, vascular-protective HDL cholesterol. Coconut oil also has valuable properties for cosmetics. Coconut oil nourishes and moisturises the skin and hair, promotes well-being, a beautiful appearance and a vital radiance. This is also recognised in Asia, where coconut oil has been used for centuries as a rich source of nutrition, beauty and care products. What makes our coconut oil special? Extraction from fresh fruit flesh Organic certification Gentle processing Coconut palms are ancient cultivated plants and have been cultivated for at least 3000 years. With coconut oil, it is particularly important to pay attention to the quality of the product, as many commercially available coconut fats are industrially hardened and deodorised. For our virgin coconut oil, the flesh of freshly harvested organic coconuts is gently dried for one to two days and then cold-pressed. The result is a coconut oil with a subtle coconut flavour. The coconut oil is certified organic, unbleached, not deodorised and without any additives. The unhydrogenated, unrefined "Virgin Coconut Oil" impresses with its excellent properties and particularly high content of valuable lauric acid. Both sizes (500ml and 1 litre) are filled in a practical, resealable white jar. This can later be used as a storage jar for powders, nuts and much more. Where does our coconut oil come from? The current batch comes from the Philippines. Tips for use: In the kitchen and for body care You can use the oil, which acquires a solid consistency in the fridge, as a butter substitute, spread or for salad dressings, for example. However, due to its fatty acid structure, it can also be used for frying at high temperatures and gives sauces, Asian dishes and other dishes a subtly exotic flavour. Very tasty in desserts and homemade chocolates. Insider tip: A teaspoon of warm coconut oil poured over ice cream. Used as a hair treatment or conditioner, it makes brittle hair supple and shiny. Massage coconut oil into dry hair, leave on for 10-15 minutes and then wash out with a mild shampoo. Coconut oil has a solid consistency at room temperature and begins to melt and turn into oil at around 25 degrees. Cacao butter Criollo Chips organic
Cocoa Butter Criollo Chips Organic (100% natural) Why buy cocoa butter crisps? Cocoa butter is the solid form of the pure oil from the cocoa bean. The cocoa bean is an amazing food given to us by Mother Nature. It was considered a gift from God by the Aztecs and was used not only as an offering but also as a means of payment. It is estimated that raw cocoa contains more than 300 substances and is one of the foods with the most antioxidants. It enriches many dishes with a wonderful, sensual chocolate flavour and is also excellent for skin care. What makes our Cocoa Butter Criollo Chips special? Our cocoa butter is 100% pure and of raw food quality. Grown in Peru. No chemicals are used either in cultivation or processing. This cocoa butter is the pure, golden oil from cocoa beans. Our cocoa butter is made from the particularly fine and rare fine flavoured cocoa variety Criollo. Fine flavoured cocoa varieties only account for 5-10% of global cocoa production. They grow under similar, often almost natural conditions, as they do not tolerate direct sunlight and thrive alongside other tall rainforest trees. Forestero industrial cocoa, on the other hand, is usually grown in monoculture plantations. Unlike conventional products, our cocoa butter is never heated above 37°C and therefore has the quality of raw butter. Use of Cocoa Butter Criollo Chips in dishes / for recipes As a high-quality fat, cocoa butter enriches smoothies, desserts and ice creams in particular with a wonderful, sensual chocolate flavour. Ideal in combination with cocoa paste or cocoa powder for fine chocolate creations. Raw cocoa butter has a wonderful, delicate chocolate flavour, is versatile and melts at approx. 35°C in any type of recipe. Use of cocoa butter Criollo Chips for skin care Cocoa butter is also suitable for external use as a valuable skin care product (e.g. for dry skin). Due to its high content of antioxidants and skin-protecting substances, cocoa butter is a natural "fountain of youth" for the skin. With a melting point just below body temperature, you can simply glide a piece of cocoa butter over your skin without the need for any additives. Cocoa butter nourishes, absorbs well and gives dry skin a long-lasting, supple feel. And it has a sensual, aphrodisiac scent. A truly sensual oil with a soft, smooth texture and a mild, floral citrus flavour. Unfortunately, cocoa butter can hardly unfold its precious effect in most conventional cosmetic products. This is due to the small quantity, processing at excessively high temperatures and the addition of chemical additives in skin care products. In contrast to many cosmetic products, even expensive ones, that contain cocoa butter, our raw cocoa butter has been processed or blended without synthetic and harmful chemicals. This allows raw cocoa butter to fully unfold its precious effect for the natural beauty of our skin. Info: Only crisps still on offer Due to the shift in demand, we now only offer Criollo cocoa butter as crisps. These crisps (also known as coins or drops) are of the same quality as the previously offered pieces and are also made from cocoa beans of the premium Criollo variety from Peru. Cacao paste Criollo Chips Organic
Organic cocoa liquor (cocoa paste) of the premium Criollo variety as crisps (100% natural) Update: Due to the shortage of cocoa, the sale of cocoa liquor is limited.Cocoa liquor crisps (also known as cocoa paste or cocoa liquor) are much easier to use/dose than the previously offered pieces due to their consistent size and are also suitable as a sugar-free chocolate substitute. What makes our cocoa paste special? Criollo fine flavoured cocoa from Peru, one of the rarest and best varieties in the world Grown under semi-wild conditions and obtained by finely grinding the beans (raw food quality) Cultivated without the use of pesticides or synthetic fertilisers Very gentle processing that preserves vitamins, minerals, enzymes and countless other substances - for optimum absorption by the body Contains a wealth of antioxidants and the combination of serotonin, dopamine, anandamide and phenetylamine (PEA) has a mood-enhancing effect Rich in magnesium Fine cocoa variety Gran Cru Criollo Fine flavoured cocoa varieties only account for 5-10% of global cocoa production. They grow under similar, often almost natural conditions, as they do not tolerate direct sunlight and thrive alongside other tall rainforest trees. Forastero industrial cocoa, on the other hand, is usually grown in monoculture plantations. As the name suggests, fine flavoured cocoa tastes better, finer and less bitter than consumer cocoa, as it still contains all of the cocoa butter (approx. 55%), just like cocoa nibs. Criollo cocoa beans are slightly fermented and therefore develop more of their typical cocoa flavour. Why consume cocoa? The cocoa bean is an impressive food given to us by Mother Nature. It was considered a gift from God by the Aztecs and was used not only as an offering but also as a means of payment. It has been determined that raw cocoa contains around 300 substances and is one of the foods with the highest antioxidant content! Cocoa can therefore make a significant contribution to protecting our cells from free radicals and premature ageing. Cocoa has the highest magnesium content of all foods. Magnesium is important for the heart and brain, for calming and relaxing nerves and muscles and for building bones and cartilage. Together with other active ingredients, cocoa is an ideal brain food and promotes mental alertness and concentration. Cocoa beans contain a combination of substances that have a positive effect on our mind and trigger feelings of well-being and joy. And cocoa is high in sulphur, which is important for strong nails, healthy hair and beautiful, soft skin. What is cocoa mass used for? Cocoa liquor is excellent for use in all chocolate recipes. Mix cocoa liquor into smoothies or add it to ice cream, fruit salad, muesli and desserts. Ideal in combination with cocoa butter for fine chocolate creations. Size variants We offer Cocoa Mass Criollo Chips in 250g, 500g and 1kg bags as standard. Do you need large quantities? We are also happy to fill 5kg or 10kg bags on request. Vanilla powder Bourbon organic Naturkostbar
Real Bourbon vanilla powder from Madagascar Vanilla is the fruit of a white orchid species that is originally native to Mexico and has spread to many tropical countries over the course of time. Vanilla is now one of the most sought-after spices and is also known as the "queen of spices". The cultivation and processing of vanilla has always been labour-intensive, as much of the work has to be done by hand. In addition, the available areas are limited and demand is constantly increasing. As a result, vanilla is now one of the most expensive spices in the world. Genuine bourbon vanilla powder from Madagascar has unfortunately become a rarity due to severe flooding in Madagascar in 2016 and 2017, which resulted in major crop failures and long-term damage to crops. You can find more information on this in the NZZ online article. While the much cheaper synthetically produced vanillin consists of just one substance, the special flavour of real vanilla is a harmonious composition of almost 200 individual substances! Real vanilla therefore not only has a unique flavour and seductive aroma, it is also healthy. It has been regarded and cultivated by the peoples of Central America for centuries as a remarkable gift of nature, and the pharmacies of the 18th century stocked it as a health remedy in the form of powder, infusion and tincture. Uses With its unique spectrum of flavours, it can be used in a variety of ways for all sweet dishes, such as dessert sauces, ice cream, smoothies, pastries, compotes, jams, homemade chocolate and fruit bars. Also delicious in drinks such as cocoa, nut milk and herbal teas. Origin Grown and processed in Madagascar.
