Pistachio kernels organic

Product information "Pistachio kernels organic"

Pistachio kernels with skin organic

Update: As the pistachio kernels from PlantLife are no longer available, we have replaced them with those from Naturkostbar.

Our shell-less, raw pistachio kernels have an intense and delicious flavour. PlantLife sources them from farms in Central Asia, where they know the farmers personally. They are harvested gently and using natural methods, which preserves their wonderful range of colours - from a delicate purple to a warm green. Because of this colour, pistachios are sometimes referred to as "green gold", which beautifully describes their first-class quality.

Pistachios belong to the cashew family and are very popular because of their unique flavour and wide range of uses. PlantLife loves them too and therefore offers two varieties: This one in raw food quality and a roasted and salted variant. The pistachios come from selected plantations, with the aim of always being able to offer the best quality.

These wild pistachios are one hundred per cent raw, organic and of exceptional quality. They are a source of protein, fibre, vitamin E and other minerals. Natural pistachios also contain natural melatonin.

Store in a dry place away from heat. See bottom of pack for best-before date and country of origin.

Use

They are ideal as a high-quality snack, as a topping for salads or for cooking and decorating (e.g. grated over chocolate desserts).

Warnings

Cedarnuts Organic
Weight : 250g
Cedar nuts from Siberia - a treasure of nature Cedar nuts taste similar to other pine nuts, but slightly sweeter and stronger. Unlike almost all commercially available pine nuts, our raw cedar nuts are not heat-treated. Why eat cedar nuts? Cedar nuts contain approx. 55% valuable unsaturated fatty acids, primarily linoleic and alpha-linolenic acid as well as the rare pinoleic/pinolenic acid. They are rich in tocopherols (vitamin E) as antioxidants and in high-quality proteins (approx. 17%). They also contain many minerals (especially magnesium, potassium, phosphorus), trace elements (copper, manganese, zinc), vitamins (K and B) and flavonoids. For centuries, the inhabitants of Siberia have valued the widespread cedar (Pinus sibirica), a Swiss stone pine, not only as a source of valuable wood, but also for its tasty and highly nutritious seeds, which are found in the cedar cones. What makes our cedar nuts special? Almost all commercially available pine nuts are treated with heat to make them last longer. Our cedar nuts, on the other hand, are completely untreated, which preserves the broad spectrum of nutrients. Where do our cedar nuts come from? They come from the Lake Baikal region in Siberia and are harvested by hand. The Siberian pine is a true treasure of Siberian nature, forming vast areas of unspoilt forests throughout northern Russia. The huge, magnificent trees (up to 40 metres tall) grow slowly and the first cones with seeds only appear when the trees are around 30 years old. They are among the longest-lived tree species in existence, as they can live for 300 to 800 years! The evergreen cedar is a storehouse of cosmic light energy, capturing the energy rays from cosmic space in its millions of needles during its long life. Even thousands of years ago, ancient peoples valued the properties of the cedar tree, which they called "the eternal". The brushwood was used to prepare a vitamin drink, the resin was used to heal wounds and ulcers, and the seeds and their oil helped to survive the long, harsh winters in Siberia. How to use cedar nuts in everyday life? Cedar nuts taste delicious on their own as a snack or together with dried fruit and other nuts, goji berries and cocoa nibs. They can be sprinkled on salads and other dishes or added to mayonnaise, creams and milk. Cedar nuts add a certain elegance to your cooking. Cedar nuts and their oil are also very good for skin care and regeneration. We recommend keeping cedar nuts in the fridge after opening, especially in summer. Customer opinion on the product "I really like cedar nuts. I like to mix them with a little water and then create something sweet or savoury from them. Vegan salad dressing, cheese substitute ... or simply snack on a handful in between." from Mirjam F. Macadamia nuts organic Naturkostbar
Organic macadamia nuts from Kenya Naturkostbar macadamia nuts are particularly large, crunchy and buttery sweet. Macadamia nuts are among the most expensive nuts in the world due to their difficult cultivation and fluctuating quality, which is why the macadamia nut is also known as the "queen of nuts". Origin and processing These macadamia nuts grow in one of the most fertile regions of Africa, at the foot of Mount Kenya. Due to the high altitude and the associated cold nights, the nuts are of a very high quality. The Kenyan farmers cultivate the nut trees in harmony with nature. After harvesting, the macadamia nuts are gently dried and shelled in the region. They are then imported directly to Switzerland by Naturkostbar. Use The natural macadamia nuts are a special snack thanks to their delicate, creamy sweet flavour. Of course, the delicious nuts can also be used for macadamia milk or in desserts, although macadamia nut is better suited to this. Berberitzen getrocknet Bio
Dried organic barberries from wild collection Why eat barberries? Barberries are very tart, which is due to the extremely high vitamin C content of these small red berries. Our Uzbek barberries are: Organic and raw food quality wild harvested unoiled unsulphurised unsweetened completely free from additives such as anti-caking agents, preservatives etc. Where do these barberries come from? Barberries come from the Himalayan massif and its foothills. Our barberries grow on the mountain slopes of the Tien Shan and Pamir Mountains in Uzbekistan. The origin of the Latin name "Berberis" is thought to be Arabic - partly because of the similar sound to "Berber" as an earlier name for people from the Arab or parts of Africa, but also because of the Arabic term "Berberis" for "shell", which refers to the shell-like leaves. Recommendations for use In Asia, barberries are mainly used in rice dishes (pilaf) and give them that special something with their acidity. In addition to rice dishes, barberries can also be used in many desserts, muffins and other dishes. Of course, you can also use them to spice up muesli, yoghurts and creams.
