Sea buckthorne - the most vitamin-C rich berries in Europe

Harvested from wild sea buckthorn shrubs in the Swiss Alps

The orange berries of the sea buckthorn shrub, which are collected in the remote Swiss mountain valleys, attract great attention from experts. The vital substance content is very high, in particular of vitamin C. The vitamin C content was repeatedly tested by the manufacturer in Swiss test laboratories. These resulted in vitamin C values of 18,000 to 22,000 mg / kg of juice. Common values of good plantain varieties are 3000 to 5000 mg / kg of juice. This is 36 to 44 times more than that of fresh orange juice. The richness of its entire ingredients is unmatched. More than 12 vitamins: A, B, C, E, F, H, P, PP, glycosides, flavonoids, saponins, omega-3, -6 and -9 fatty acids, fruit acids and mineral Trace elements are contained in mature mulberry trees. Vitamin C is most effective in natural combination with other vital substances. Sea buckthorn juice also contains Sea buckthorn fruit oil.

Sea buckthorn juice in raw food quality

The whole berries are very gently pressed at low temperatures. The very high acid content - due to the high vitamin C content - and the clean processing allow the juice not to be pasteurized and to last for at least 6 months. This keeps all vital substances. The juice is very refreshing due to the vitamin C content and its powerful Sea buckthorn aroma. The high vitamin P content supports the stability and uptake of vitamin C.

The harvest and processing of the sea buckthorn berries

The berries which grow wildly at about 1000 meters above sea level are harvested by Margrit and Adolf Hartmann by hand in an impassable area in the Valais and the Grisons Oberland. Compared to cultivated plants these berries are smaller, but they are more vitamin rich. Harvest time is between August and October. With electric scissors, the berries are thrown together with the thorny branches and put into big jute bags. The two donkeys "Fiona" and "Meli" help to carry the heavy bags into the valley. The whole processing of the Sea buckthorn berries happens on the farm of the spouses Hartmann in Trans in Domleschg.

Sea buckthorn juice or syrup

For people, who can not do anything with this completely unsweetened original juice, we recommend the sea buckthorn syrup, which is sweetened pleasantly with fructose and Birnel. The proportion of sea buckthorn fruit in the syrup is still 60%.

Note: The berries are wild fruits and come without pesticides and agrochemicals. Due to the very large harvesting area, however, an organic certification can not be financed.

Use of the Swiss Sea Buckthorn Juice

Sea buckthorn juice tastes best pure, some sweetened or also as an addition in water, fruit juices, tea, yoghurt, muesli and desserts. Depending on your personal needs, take 2 to 5 tablespoons daily.

Baobab powder organic
Weight : 250g
Baobab – the African super fruit Why Baobab Powder? Baobab has a slightly citrusy, fruity, refreshing taste and is rich in vitamin C and the minerals calcium, potassium, iron and magnesium. Due to its favorable calcium-phosphorus ratio in combination with vitamin C, the bioavailability of calcium and iron is particularly good. Baobab is great for vegans because it's high in calcium - twice as much as milk. Effect of baobab powder? The baobab fruit has approx. 50% dietary fiber - half the particularly valuable soluble dietary fiber - and thus supports the intestinal functions and a favorable, regular digestion. Baobab also contains numerous phytonutrients that, as powerful antioxidants, help to protect cells and vessels from free radicals. What makes our baobab powder special? Our baobab powder is 100% pure, raw and chemical free. The pod contains the seeds and the naturally dried pulp. The natural fruit powder is separated from the seeds and fibers in a mechanical process. Origin of our babobab powder This superfruit is native to Africa. By spreading to the western world, distribution helps African communities reduce poverty while preserving nature. So baobab is good for us, good for Africans and good for the environment. The African baobab tree (Adansonia digitata) or baobab tree (from Arabic bu-hubub) is a characteristic part of the African savannah. It's also jokingly called the "inverted tree" because it looks like its roots reach up into the sky in a ghostly silhouette. Africans have valued this tree and its fruit for a long time and have given it various names such as tree of life and magic tree. Its thick trunk can store up to 300 liters of water, enabling the tree to survive long periods of drought. The nutritious fruit powder forms naturally in the ripe fruit pod, which also contains the seeds. Tips for use in everyday life We like the taste and use it pure with water and a little sweetener - a real treat. It can be used wonderfully as an ingredient in all cocoa and dessert creations and gives them a delicious, slightly sweet and sour note. Due to its high pectin content (approx. 25%), baobab powder is particularly suitable for recipes where binding or thickening properties are required. In addition, baobab is a natural flavor enhancer and gives every dish, whether sweet or savory, a special touch. Baobab also goes well with muesli, in yoghurt, nut milk and as an ingredient in baked goods and desserts (with cocoa). If you like it sweeter, just add a teaspoon of agave syrup. Recipe with baobab powder Try a refreshing vitality drink: mix 1 to 2 teaspoons of baobab powder with water and lemon or add it to juice or your favorite smoothie. Flaxseed Oil Organic
Weight : 100ml
Flaxseed oil from Swiss organic flaxseed: freshly and cold-pressed and unfiltered Update: Pre-order now for the last pressing before the summer holidays, which will take place on June 10th, 2024. 250ml and 500ml are filled into BPA-free tin bottles (black-matt design). The 100ml remains in the familiar Miron glass bottle for several months. The linseed oil can also be stored in the freezer for up to 6 months to prevent oxidation. The next linseed oil pressing will take place on Monday 10. June 2024. Please place your pre-order by Sunday evening 9. June. Shipping will be on Wednesday 12. June with Post Pack Priority, so delivery should be on Thursday. Below you will find all other order data. Flaxseed oil is one of our favorite products because: Very tasty: Freshly pressed flaxseed oil does not taste bitter at all (in the first weeks), but rather has a slight nutty taste. Organic: Producer Jakob Bachofner's brown organic flax seeds come from their own fields in Fehraltorf. Cold pressed: Due to mill water cooling, the oil temperature remains at 28-32°C throughout the pressing. Regional: Fehraltorf is only 10 km from our warehouse in Wetzikon. Home delivery is CO2 neutral with Swiss Post. Why is flaxseed oil so healthy? With approximately 50% alpha-linolenic acid/omega 3, flaxseed oil is one of the most potent suppliers of this important fatty acid. Just 1 tablespoon of flaxseed oil covers the daily requirement of 2 g of alpha-linolenic acid for an adult. Omega-3 fatty acids are of great importance for our metabolism. They are important building blocks of our cell membranes, they have an anti-inflammatory effect, protect cells against premature aging and strengthen the immune system. You can find more interesting information about omega-3 fatty acids in our health guide. Use Fresh flaxseed oil is a real delight! Jakob Bachofner of the Oelerei presses flaxseed oil from organic flax seeds from his own fields in Fehraltorf freshly and with a press cooled with raw food grade water at 28-32°C - feel the difference. It is not filtered, but left in the refrigerator for 1 day so that the cloudy matter can settle. The flaxseed oil is then bottled, transported to the warehouse and shipped the same day. It is possible that very little cloudy material (it is a little darker) settles at the bottom of the bottle. It can be consumed without hesitation. Linseed oil goes perfectly with cold and lukewarm dishes such as salad, potatoes and muesli. It can also be enjoyed pure (1 tablespoon daily). Linseed oil is also suitable for external use on very dry skin. Linseed oil favorite recipes We ourselves have been enthusiastic flaxseed oil consumers for many years, which is why we are happy to list our favorite recipes for inspiration: Raw almond milk with a fresh apple and linseed oil Budwig-Crème-Müesli (based on low-fat quark and linseed oil) Golden milk with linseed oil Chia pudding with linseed oil Apple and cinnamon porridge with linseed oil Wholemeal bread with cottage cheese, linseed oil and sprouts Vegan mayonnaise with almond butter and linseed oil Potato salad with linseed oil Tomato and onion salad with basil and linseed oil Experiment: Drizzle the linseed oil and some salt over half an avocado. What is your favorite linseed oil recipe? Let us know and we'll be happy to add it to the list. Ordering process for freshly pressed flaxseed oil from Swiss flaxseed To pre-order, buy the flaxseed oil as usual online, send us an email to info@samaranatura.ch or give us a quick call on 044 586 27 27. On Monday morning we place our order with Jakob Bachofner from the Oelerei. He presses the flaxseed oil on Monday. Then the freshly pressed organic flaxseed oil has to rest for a day in cold storage for sedimentation (lowering of turbid matter). The bottles are filled on Wednesday morning and I immediately bring the bottles to our social logistician in Wetzikon. He sends all orders (flaxseed oil with any other items ordered) on Wednesday with Post Pack Priority (without a SFR 2 surcharge), so you should receive your order on Thursday of the same week. Freshly pressed flaxseed oil only for pre-orders Due to the sensitivity to heat and the short shelf life, we do not keep flaxseed oil in stock, but only accept pre-orders from September to June, which are then carried out once a month. In the warm months, shipping is done with cooling pads. Size variants and prices The organic flaxseed oil can be ordered in 3 different sizes: 100ml for SFR 10.- resp. from 3 pieces SFR 9.50250ml for SFR 20.- resp. from 3 pieces SFR 19.- 500ml for SFR 33.- resp. from 3 pieces SFR 31.35 Order deadlines 1th semester 2024 Sunday June 9th, 2024 Durability Shelf life after pressing is 3 months. Please always keep the flaxseed oil in the refrigerator, even before opening the bottle for the first time. This slows down the oxidation that occurs very quickly in flaxseed oil. Our flaxseed oil is specially packaged in dark violet Miron glass to protect it from sunlight and the associated premature oxidation. There are 2 options for extending the shelf life: Very modern refrigerators sometimes have a 0-degree zone. Stored there, the flaxseed oil can be kept for about a month longer, or you can freeze it, which extends the shelf life to 6 months. Once opened, the bottle should be consumed within 3-4 weeks. Important instructions Flaxseed oil and camelina oil are not the same. While flaxseed oil is pressed from flaxseed, camelina oil comes from camelina. Camelina oil has a longer shelf life, but at around 35% it has a lower proportion of alpha-linolenic acid/omega 3. Cold-pressed oils (except coconut oil) are heat-sensitive and are therefore mainly suitable for cold dishes. Toxic compounds can form when heated to high temperatures, e.g. when roasting. Nutritional values of organic flaxseed oil per 100g Energy 3475 kJ / 830 kcalFat 93g- of which saturated fatty acids (palmitic acid and stearic acid) 8g- monounsaturated fatty acids (oleic acid) 19g- polyunsaturated fatty acids (linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid) 67gcarbohydrates 0gof which sugar 0gprotein 0gsalt 0g Compared to other oils, linseed oil has a very high proportion of polyunsaturated fatty acids. Depending on the seed, it is 10-30% linoleic acid (omega-6 fatty acid) and 40-70% alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3 fatty acid), which can be converted by the body into DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid). Origin Switzerland, chilled pressed by Jakob Bachofner in Fehraltorf with flaxseed from our own fields in Fehraltorf ZH. New producer with pictures After our former producer unfortunately had to go out of business, we started looking for a new solution in the summer of 2021. There were various options with high-quality producers of chilled-pressed organic oils, but in the end we found the most suitable alternative in Jakob Bachofner from the Oelerei in Fehraltorf. The main reason is the short distance of just 10 kilometers between the oil production and our warehouse in Wetzikon. This enables us to deliver the flaxseed oil to you even one day earlier/fresher - it couldn't be faster. Jakob produces high-quality oils, certified organic according to the Swiss organic regulation CH-BIO-086. Here are a few pictures of the cultivation and harvesting of the flaxseed from Fehraltorf. Camu Camu powder organic
Camu camu powder with 15% vitamin C content The camu camu fruit has the highest documented natural vitamin C content of any food on earth. Compared to oranges, camu camu provides 30-60 times more vitamin C, 10 times more iron, 3 times more niacin, twice as much riboflavin and 50% more phosphorus! Camu camu contains 2-3g of vitamin C per 100g of fresh fruit and around 10-12g per 100g of dried powder. That doesn't seem like much compared to synthetic vitamin C supplements, but the vitamin C in camu camu is a naturally occurring, highly bioavailable form and works synergistically in the body for maximum benefit. Why Consume Camu Camu Powder? We have found camu camu to energize and uplift and improve mood. It helps us stay active and in a good mood throughout the day. A pretty amazing effect for such a small berry. We all know about the great health value of vitamin C, and since there is camu camu, we can dispense with artificial, synthetic forms entirely. For people like us, who are always on the lookout for what nature has to offer, this is a blessing. The berry is 100% natural and a powerful, highly concentrated food. Due to its natural origin and in combination with other vitamins, minerals, bioflavonoids and amino acids, the vitamin C contained in camu camu is fully absorbed by the body, which is not the case with synthetic vitamin C. What makes our camu camu powder special? SamaraNatura Camu Camu (scientific name: Myrciaria dubia) grows wild in the Peruvian Amazon. The berries are harvested directly into boats equipped with freezing systems. The boats travel the waterways of the Amazon where the fruit is picked at full maturity and flash frozen. At a processing plant, the fruit is then thawed, peeled, liquefied and spray dried. The resulting powder is pale pink to yellow-brown and has powerful ingredients. We receive our camu camu in the form of a pure, unadulterated powder with an orange-light brown colour. It takes about 15kg of berries to make 1kg of powder, which contains 10-12% vitamin C by weight. Therefore, it takes very little to stock up on an effective dose of antioxidants. Camu camu powder: Often different vitamin C content We would like to point out that the vitamin C content of camu camu powder varies greatly. For example, there is also camu camu with only 5-6% vitamin C. When comparing, pay attention to the vitamin C content, because the lower the product, the cheaper it should be. Influence on sustainable development of the Amazon basin We also like that the growing popularity of Camu Camu is contributing to the sustainable development of the Amazon Basin and helping locals maintain their traditional lifestyle. How to use camu camu powder? Like other superfoods, camu camu is very easy to use. Simply mix the powder into your smoothie in the morning or an afternoon pick-me-up drink. Camu camu has a fairly acidic taste, although it does not have an acidifying effect on the body and is easier on the stomach than synthetic ascorbic acid. It therefore tastes best when mixed with other ingredients. Add about 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon (2-3 g) to juices, smoothies, ice cream, raw desserts, or simply to your drinking water. It's a great way to balance out the sweetness in fruit smoothies and desserts. Tip: Camunade is a refreshing drink that gives you a good vitamin C boost. Simply sprinkle a teaspoon of camu camu into a glass of cold water (sparkling or still), add a squeeze of lime juice and some sweetener (e.g. agave or yacon syrup) and shake briefly. You can increase the daily amount if necessary (spread the intake over the day), but diarrhea symptoms indicate that you are taking too much camu camu. Chlorella tablets Taiwan organic
Chlorella Vulgaris Tablets - The Green Wonder Chlorella is a microscopic unicellular algae that occurs naturally in fresh water. It is the oldest form of plant life known to us that has a real cell nucleus. Chlorella has been used and revered as a powerful food in many traditional cultures. Why consume Chlorella? Chlorella provides a veritable flood of nutrients for the body. Minerals, rare trace elements, vitamins (including vitamin D) and a wide range of enzymes (including pepsin). Chlorella consists of 60% complete and easily digestible proteins. Also included are essential fatty acids, nucleic acids (DNA, RNA) important for cell regeneration and phytochemicals such as carotenoids, lutein, astaxanthin and others. Chlorella has the highest chlorophyll content of any known plant, four times that of normal plants! Chlorophyll is also referred to as "green plant blood" because its molecular composition hardly differs from human hemoglobin. What makes our Chlorella tablets special? Our chlorella tablets consist of 100% natural organic chlorella microalgae powder. The tablets are pressed on site from fresh powder and this without any pressing aids or additives. To ensure the high quality requirements, each batch of organic chlorella tablets in Germany is checked for toxins, heavy metals and other contamination by an independent laboratory. Where does our chlorella come from and how is it processed? Our chlorella comes from an algae farm in southern Taiwan, which was the first to be recognized by the German organic farming association Naturland. Laboratory tests have shown that this chlorella is among the cleanest strains of chlorella in the world (along with just one other)! The algae grow outdoors under intense sunlight in pure fresh water of drinking water quality. The cultivation of only strong, healthy microalgae strains guarantees first-class quality. At the time of the highest nutrient density, the microalgae are gently harvested, then pre-centrifuged and spray-dried within 3 seconds in a special process. The hard cell wall of chlorella is gently broken open by a vacuum process to make it easier to digest. During this process, the temperature of the mass does not rise above 40°C -> raw food quality. What Makes Chlorella Unique? Chlorella can quadruple in quantity every 20 hours and no other plant on earth can do that! This is related to something called Chlorella Growth Factor (CGF), a complex of many substances in very small amounts, including RNA, DNA, amino acids, vitamins and minerals, the exact properties of which have not yet been identified. However, laboratory tests showed that the addition of CGF stimulates growth processes by increasing the growth of beneficial bacteria such as Lactobacillus by up to 400%. Because of its nutritional richness, chlorella is one of nature's ideal foods. When you use chlorella along with spirulina, you have near-perfect ratios of all the essential nutrients your body needs. Chlorella has been and still is the subject of intense research. Usage: Chlorella tablets Chlorella can be taken in tablet form or as a powder. The tablets are easier to take, but their quality can be affected by the possible use of binders and heating during manufacture (not applicable to our tablets). Powdered chlorella can be mixed into vegetable and fruit juices or smoothies. It adds a rich, thick texture to any liquid. Chlorella can also be added to foods like cream cheese, mayonnaise, ice cream, pasta, and rice. Recommended amounts of Chlorella tablets: Start with 400 mg (1 tablet) per day and slowly increase as your body adjusts to chlorella. Children and beginners: 1 - 8 tablets per dayAdults: 12 - 15 tablets per day Composition Chlorella tablets 100% chlorella, no tableting aids. Organic dried sea buckthorn berries - unsweetened & from wild collection Why buy sea buckthorn berries? An analysis carried out by the retailer provided evidence of the sensational amounts of vital substances in sea buckthorn. The berries have a very high omega 7 fatty acid and B12 content. This high content is probably only contained in the Uzbek wild-collected organic sea buckthorn. Cultivated sea buckthorn usually has much lower levels and vitamin B12 in plant foods is very rare! This results in a crispy consistency. What makes our wild organic sea buckthorn berries special?
