Rocket sprouts germination seed

Rocket seeds cannot be grown on their own, which is why they must be grown together with red clover or alfalfa (our recommendation).

The following ratio is excellent for growing sprouts:

1 level tsp rocket and 2 heaped tbsp alfalfa,
whereby the seed quantity refers to the germination glass of sprout seeds.

However, growing them together is by no means a disadvantage; the tasty rocket sprouts provide a savoury addition to the alfalfa sprouts.

Why does rocket need to be grown with alfalfa?

The rocket seeds (just like cress) stick together strongly at the start of the germination process. Growing them alone would not work.

We therefore recommend always growing rocket seeds with alfalfa seeds, as the germination period is optimally matched. Red clover seeds can also be used as an alternative to alfalfa.

3.1 litre sprout jar: Soak 1 level teaspoon of rocket seeds and 2 heaped tablespoons of alfalfa seeds for 10 hours.
1.7 litre sprouting jar: soak 1 level teaspoon of rocket seeds and 1.5 heaped tablespoons of alfalfa seeds for 10 hours.

Then germinate in the sprout jar for 5-7 days.

Rinse every morning and evening.

The sprouts can then be stored in the fridge for about a week.
